I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately it did not live up to its reviews. My sister-in-law and I came to get mani/pedi for her wedding, which was the next day. Our pedis were fine, mediocre at best. However, when it came time for nails things went south. - Although we made appointments well ahead of time, there was not enough help available. We were there for over 4 hours. - I had my ring finger painted with a gold glitter, but she (the owner, I assume) did not ...wish to do it how I liked. A couple of coats vs. one. When I asked her to put more coats, she refused. After placing my hand in the dryer she grabbed my arm so forcefully that her nails broke my skin in order to paint another coat of glitter. - She caused me to bleed several times with her forcefulness. When she was cleaning under my nails she stabbed the tool in and caused me to bleed badly. - When I went to pay, she told me how much it was, and I paid. I (obviously) chose not to tip. I left, got in my car and was getting ready to leave when she ran out and knocked on my window. She told me I owed her money and did not pay her enough?? She wanted me to come back and pay more. Originally, I didn’t tell her what I wanted to pay, she told me it cost and I paid her. I rolled up the window and told her I would not come back in as she was starting to get aggressive. I pay £25 in London for a take off, soak the cuticles manicure, and shellac polish. Never would I have dreamed that I would have to pay £30 for a take off, 'manicure', and shellac polish in Skelly, Swansea. Firstly, the take off was with the sandpaper drill - everyone knows this thins your nails and you get a ridge when they grow out. The polish should be soaked long enough to be removed gently with an orange stick, if you're going to do it right. Seconly, I had to ask for the 'manicure' and it cost extra; didn't use cuticle remover and was pretty poor. The shellac polish was fine. This is a dirty little place, there were crisp crumbs on the dilapidated couch in the entrance, and the man I had was rude. Do yourself a favour and go around the corner to the other Beauty bar.
