I was so excited to be getting my nails done at naf salon as due to my work I'm not allowed to wear nail varnish, so with 10 days holiday I thought I'd get them done.. I wanted some bright summertime nails.. So I went for bright neon colours with little pairs of sunglasses in the ring fingers. I was delighted that my excitement was mirrored by the nail technician.. The salon has a lovely relaxed atmosphere.. It was lovely to chat and watch the talented nail technician take on my challenge.. The results were even better than I hoped.. All the girls at NAF are lovely! My nails looked amazing when I walked out the salon, but the day after the nude gel colour started turning brown. The acrylic's themselves were so painful going on (burning/hot) but the girls really did try to help! I've had to paint over my nails and stick one back on with nail glue... for £40 I'm not too sure if it was worth it. Absolute 10/10 for staff and shop set up though! Read Less

Cannot rate the salon and all the nail technicians enough! Worth every single penny both of my two previous set of gel nails lasted for 4 weeks with no chips or peeling, my nails have never been in better condition.. all staff are so friendly and give you advice on how to take care of your nails. Would definitely recommend the NAF cuticle oils they have made such a difference to the condition of my nails. I love this place so much, I've already booked my next appointment!It's been a while since I've cared enough to have my nails done and I thought it was about time to treat myself.You can book appointments online for a £1 deposit, but for some reason it never works for me.  I've been able to pop a wee message through to them and they've booked me in no bother.My first appointment was such a treat.  Amee is really great and does a great job with nails.  I originally had booked in for a single colour gel nail, but decided once I was there that I wanted something with glitter.  It was not trouble at all as all appointments generally are given the same amount of time.I was a tad early as always for my appointment but I was able to sit and look at the rolling video of all the different nails people have gotten done.  Loads of inspiration for sure!  Every staff member I ran in to that day were super nice and welcoming!  A great atmosphere, I just love it here!I'm so excited for my next appointment!! NAF is one funky nail salon, I'll tell ya. Absolutely adore the decor! So went in on my day off for a wee manicure because my nails were horrendous and needed saving. I booked in with Anna, who is a lovely woman, and I assume quite new because she didn't say much while I was there, which is fine. I don't mind staying quiet and chilling nor do I mind chatting. No biggie. I booked the appointment online for 1pm! It was easy breezy and they kept reminding me of the appointment prior to it so that's great cause people genuinely can forget. I have now since downloaded their app (yes they have an app) and made my second booking for November mwahahaha The web and app actually show you the available times of the professional that you want to tend to your nails! Perfect! And you can adjust your appointment if your plans have changes (just not within 24 hours before your actual appointment). Btw my nails look perf! I think they were well taken care of and Anna was concentrating a lot on painting them neatly, which I appreciate cause my nails are bombbbbbb!Def would go back (and I actually am next month wheeee!). Located dab smack in the middle of the city centre I found Naf a bit tricky to find but once I had found it I was hooked. When I walked in I immediately felt welcomed and cool. Cool? Yes cool because everyone in there is so dang cool and friendly. It's Glasgow style at its best. I've been in twice. The first time I got a design on my nails that was the envy of everyone I met for two weeks. The second time I opted for a simple one colour gel polish. My nails are still going strong on day 19. The thing that stands out to me about their service is that they care. If you want a design they want to make sure the design is exactly what you are looking for-- they will even custom colour. If you want a specific colour they will mix colours until you are happy. It's hard to find this kind of service anymore. Also the studio space is so bright airy and hip that you just walk away feeling pretty and bad ass- all at once! Don't forget to check-in using Yelp because you get a discount on your nails. I love a wee pamper and anywhere that combines killer nails with Ru Paul is a winner in my books. I've been getting my nails done at NAF pretty regularly for about a year and I can't see that stopping any time soon. The girls are super friendly and welcoming - you actually get more of a 'going to visit a friend' vibe than going into a salon which I love. In terms of service, they're all spot on and I haven't left feeling anything less than thrilled and dying to take a picture of my nails for Instagram. Ok so I won't tell any fibs, I booked an appointment at NAF purely on the visual delight that is their Instagram page!  I really wanted to try gel polish on my nails I am told when done right it not only looks great but lasts a decent enough time.  However in the end I chickened out and booked an appointment for regular polish but where I pushed the boat out I opted for nail art instead of one colour.  I turned up for my appointment on time and was asked to sit to wait for the team member doing my nails. The owners little french bulldog Betty came to play with me which I had no problem with as having a British bulldog myself I was more than happy to indulge in a game of tug o war.  My nails were done by a very lovely lady named Kelly. I asked her for a valentines day nail design which she was happy to do.  I felt very relaxed as Kelly made conversation with me and sometimes just letting there be a little silence while she concentrated on the design. This was a prefect balance for me as I although I do love to chat I like to relax and enjoy the experience as well.  My nails turned out great, Kelly did a lilac background dotted with little pink coloured hearts.  I loved it.  The art lasted more than a week which I was more than pleased about and I got numerous compliments on it as well. The salon itself was very cool and kitsch and the prices were very reasonable.  I shall definitely be making a return visit to NAF, I have downloaded their app to keep up to date with appointments and I may just take the plunge and get some gel on my nails! The good: So first things first, the finished result of my nails (toe nails) were lovely. I opted for very classy glittery pink gel nails, and I loved the finished look. And another nice note, the girl (Amber I think) was super chatty and made me feel pretty welcome. Also the salon appeared to be all nice and squeaky clean which is a bonus. The bad: I was panicking that I was going to be late and I couldn't find it, but in the end I was about 4/5 minutes late, tops. The receptionist said that was fine as Amber was running a few minutes late herself. She took my coat and offered me a drink and showed me where to wait. There was Netflix and I could choose what to put on so that was a nice touch! However even after I had sat down which took it to a bit later now, I was taken 45 minutes after this, which meant about 50 minutes after my appointment time. FIFTY MINUTES. I hate being nasty but that's a bit ridiculous in my opinion, regardless of being offered a drink or Netflix to watch. To be honest I didn't really have an extra almost hour to sit and watch tv and was so close to leaving, but I wanted the pink glittery toes. Anyway, I digress.I also said I couldn't see an option for gels and a pedicure online so could I have that if she had time, if not just a quick scrub/tidy up. She said no because you can't have a pedicure with gels due to the water and something about bacteria. This isn't true but hey, I wasn't that fussed about the pedicure part anyway. This is just personal preference, but I've noticed everyone saying how much they like the decor. It's possibly the coolest looking salon I've ever been in, but I don't know. In my opinion it didn't really suit a salon and I felt more like I was sitting somewhere waiting to be served a drink. It just felt TOO cool. That sounds silly and picky, but I like a salon to be... simple and pretty and professional looking with candles and soft music, not cool with neon signs and techno music. (probably wasn't even techno?!!) Anyway. The decor and lateness aside the finished result was nice and the prices were brilliant - £20 for glitter gel toes is really good. And looking at other reviews I think if this is your kind of place then go for it. I think it just wasn't for me. But for the price, who knows I may venture back for some Christmas nails. It's a super cool salon where you can get your nails, make up or henna on.If like me you're an Instagram nail art obsessive then you'll know all about DIY nails decals and their founder Tammy - this is the lovely lady who has opened Naf! The decor is super cool and the girls are so welcoming and friendly - more like hanging out with friends rather than a nail appointment. This might be the most instagram friendly place in Glasgow, yes really. It's incredible. Tammy Koslowski is the owner of both NAF Salon and DIY Nails. As in the nail decals that have just been featured in Vogue. NAF Salon opened up last week and after seeing it all over instagram from all the Glasgow Bloggers, I decided to  try it out. The salon is super easy to find, up two flights of stairs in Central Chambers. You walk in to find 4 nail bars, a hair bar, two pedicure chairs, and a huge lounging area complete with netflix and magazines. The decor is great, personal favourite was the emoji decals on the windows. I came in wanting a file and polish for a reasonable 10quid, but got persuaded to have gel nails, since they offer free soak offs. Tammy was super friendly and chatty throughout doing my nails, and her attention to detail on the treatment was second to none. I went for hot pink with white glitter over. I love them. 20quid for the gel nails, in the city centre is pretty reasonable. The polish brand used was gelish, but the wall was lined with all colours of normal polish. They also offer acyrlic nails and so much glitter.If you need some girly TLC, this is the place to go! Read Less
