I would never use another salon! Faultless service every time. From the moment I step in the door, I'm greeted by the lovely manager on reception. Amazing shampoo and head massage every time, no matter how busy they are. I have had both jack and Helena as stylists and they always give me amazing, creative cuts and colours, even when I don't know what I want to begin with. Did not get what was agreed on consultation, asked for all red and yellow tone to be removed.. and they agreed after seeing my hair... I have more red and yellow tones than i did before so dissapointed. Asked me to pay before I came back for changes which should be more like the promised colour... I went back for minimal amount of work that they could do to try and sort it out(or shut me up)... it didn't work and the second time I bought this to their attention I got told I could have a discount off of further treatment. I have payed too much to ruin my hair.. will not be going back or paying them any more money. Do not recommend - I had a senior stylist and have been falsely advertised to ... I had my hair cut, styled and drastically re coloured at the serpentine green pkai salon. The results were outstanding and the service was superb. I have afro hair and have been terrified of salons ever since a disaster over 10 years ago so I was relieved when I was greeted by my stylist Holly, who has afro hair very similar to mine. All members of staff were welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived. My hair had to be bleached in order for it to be changed from a blue/...teal/green to a vibrant red. Holly was very careful to ensure minimal damage to my hair and when the colour didn't lift as much as hoped she remained calm and professional as she got advice. Colour was applied to my hair after a discussion on what red I wanted and to my surprise the result was a rich colour with a perfect transition from a deeper red at my roots. Holly also styled it beautifully without the usual excruciating pain most stylists put me through and I left with huge smile on my face. Considering there were several opportunities for the whole thing to go wrong, the results greatly exceeded my expectations and I cannot thank everyone at pkai enough for the excellent service I received. Went to Westgate salon for complete new cut and colour. Despite consultation and photos of ideas, what I ended up with was awful. Spent £125 and ended up with something like a curly topped mullet in copper brown (I asked for no copper tones as it makes my complexion look pink) with yellow wispy bits coming out of the bottom. It looked OK when they'd finished as the blow drying techniques can make anything look good but as soon as I'd washed it myself, it looked awful. been battling with it ever since. I’ve had my hair balayage, cut and style by the incredible mason at the Deeping branch- I’m honestly still in shock at how stunning it looks I’ve never had anyone listen and take into consideration exactly what I wanted, but also taught me on what’s best for my hair. My favourite salon in Peterborough. All the staff here are so friendly, attentive and professional. Jackie is always so welcoming, I don't feel like 'just another customer' when I walk through the doors and am greeted with a warm hug! Always had a fantastic experience here. Never been disappointed with the finished results when I've walked out of the salon, head held high. My thanks go to the whole of the Westgate team! [My only negative point is that because the salon is in the city centre you have to pay for parking...! Would be fantastic if they could strike a deal with Queensgate or one of the other parking operators to get free or discounted parking when coming for a hair appointment! what a nightmare! Went and saw the supposedly guru Kai the owner of the salon. Despite my protests he cut my hair short and the fringe I had been growing for two years he had cut so that it looks like grown fringe on both sides of my face. The hairstyle never looked good even when I was leaving the salon. The result is such that I look like I have not been to the hairdresser for the last few months! He cut out so much hair at the back it does not look like I have any! Absolutely impossible to create any sort of hairstyle with the range of strighteners, curlers and blow drying devices I have at home. The side fringe is itching the hell out of my face and my hair is too short to use any bands on it. I will definitely not ever go there again! What a lack of understanding to completely ignore customer's wishes! I look like someone who used scissors in a drunken stupor. Do use my experience as a warning! Read Less

Wed 5th Aug 2015, went for high lights today, sorry but i was very disappointed as it does't look like there are any in there, he only put a few silver foil in my heir, and then blow waving, well what can i say, my heir was stuck up all over absolutely terrible, i do better my self, I've been going to the salon for quite a few years now, and, all the good stylists have left, not sure why!!,.And to top it all i had my heir done for my hols the following day.
