Despite the great reviews I didn't have a great experience here. I arrived on time but was left waiting 20 minutes as the person at the reception desk did not tell the hairdresser I was there. No apology was given. No coffee or other drink was offered though I saw other customers getting them. I didn't feel I was consulted about my hair, not even where the parting was, the hairdresser just trimmed the ends. I'd also booked in for a cut and blow dry and after 2 minutes with the diffuser the hairdresser looked bored and just said they were done and charged me for a wet cut instead. I have been going to the Wacky Hair Co. for many years, always been very happy with my hair, I will never go anywhere else! My usual hairdresser is Teddy, but Bhai and Carly today have both cut and coloured my hair, and I can honestly say I have been so happy with every one I ask for advice, they always give honest opinions and ideas, which is what you need. Brilliant customer service, I wasn't too sure how I wanted my four year old daughters haircut. Teddy was excellent! He took his time to explain things and nothing was too much for him. I went in for a pedicure and a fill-in my pedicure was mediocre it could have been better and the job that the guy did on my nails literally sucked not one nail matches the other nail of the opposite hand they're all different shapes sizes and lengths and I'm very unhappy will not be going back. I absolutely love this place! They have great prices and do an amazing job! I even went in yesterday with my 1 yo daughter, who pitched a fit the entire time (I had to get ready for a wedding) and the staff took care of her and let me get my nails, toes, and eyebrows done. We were regular customers there, I have spent thousands of dollars in this nail salon. My niece went there yesterday to have her nails done because she was having a bay shower today and the gender was going to be revealed to her there. So she was having her nails done cute with baby feet on her ring fingers. Well not only was the sides of her nails not painted at all, but the baby feet had 4 toes, after she told the tech over and over again it was supposed to have 5. She also... told him several times that there was no polish on the sides of her nails. Then she showed them to me and not only was all of this a problem but the nails themselves looked horrible!!! She has a wide nail base he made the nails thin, they had humps, they didn't cover her nail, he didn't cut her cuticle!!! It was the worst I had ever seen. Since I know the owner I went back to talk to her quietly. I told her what was going on and she got an attitude but got up to come see. As she was looking at them she saw what we were talking about, speaking in another language to her tech she must've explained the problem. Then she said that my niece never said she was unhappy, she said she should've told him while he was doing it... My niece told her she did and all Kim (the owner) wanted to do was basically call her a liar. My niece was so upset she went out to the car. At that point Kim continued to tell me that she never said anything. I said regardless we are saying something now, they were being done for an important event and all my niece wanted to do was go take them off!!! Finally I stood up she told me to go get my niece and bring her back in and they'd fix them. First of all it NEVER should've gotten to this point. She should've offered to fix them without calling my niece a liar. I went out to the car and my niece said that she wasn't going back in there she was really upset and just wanted to take them off. Well I told her I wasn't going to let her day be ruined so we went to Queens Nails next to Amscot. Not only were they super nice, but they took her nails completely off because there was no fixing them, started from scratch and did a beautiful job. Well while I was in there getting a pedicure a cop comes in. He came to me asking if I drove such and such car. Well with everything that had happened I didn't even realize that when we walked out she hadn't been paid. Instead of calling me, she has my cell phone number, she called the cops! Seriously! Very good service. The lady with red hair (jess I think) was very nice both on and off the phone. I had a cup of tea within 5minutes of me being there and kept checking to see if I wanted another one. James (the guy who cut my hair) was very good.
