I'm new to Cambridge (I previously lived in the USA in Atlanta, GA) so I'm used to a whole different nail experience. I called at 11:30 AM (on a Thursday) to setup an appointment at 12:00 PM--short notice, but they were able to fit me in! After reading reviews (some good and some SUPER bad), I decided to ask for Vivian. I arrived and was offered some coffee/tea which I thought was nice. I sat down and Vivian started my nails. I got a full set of gel powder & gel color on top. I also opted for having small rhinestones installed on each nail (3 pounds extra for 10 gems). After Vivian finished applying the gel powder and shaping my nails to perfection, Jimmy then did the gel color and installed the gems. LOVE my nails. Overall, they have a new customer in me. Total cost was 43 pounds with a 10% Student Discount with ID. I have learned my lesson with going to nail places out of quick desperation! I went to Cambridge Nails & Spa on Burleigh Street a couple weeks prior and they ruined my nails (I'll save that for another review) and I was so sad that I couldn't go to my regular place in London to get them fixed. A friend had recommended Elegant Nails and I couldn't be more impressed. They went above and beyond to fix the uneven lengths of my nails by adding extra acrylic the top and shaping it while doing my infills. They were so friendly and understanding of my situation. Despite it being quite soon before they closed they didn't make me feel rushed in any way and made sure to do the best job. I would even say they are BETTER than my local place in London! Read Less

Avoid if you can! It is cheap but in the long run, the damage done to your nails is very considerable. I visited three times and decided after my last ordeal that it wasn't for me. I waited 20 minutes after having my gel nails painfully peeled off before I left. Not a pleasant experience. Read Less

I used to come here a few years ago when it was a salon called Alluring nails but had such a bad experience on more than one occasion that I changed salons. Since then I have been dedicated to my new beauty therapist but recently she is often so busy and I can't get an appointment out of work hours. I came here based on other people's reviews, in all honesty, in desperation because I needed a cut and polish in an emergency. Now, I wouldn't go anywhere else! The new owners ar...e wonderful. The salon is clean and well kept, all of the staff are lovely and, like a hair salon, they offer you complimentary coffee and tea which is a wonderful little extra and shows they care about their customers. I have had a normal manicure and recently a cats eye gel manicure. The cats eye manicure was so unique and it's not a product I've ever seen anywhere else. I have had lots of compliments from friends at how good my nails look and after a week and lots of activities and using of my hands, it is still in tact perfectly. No chipping or peeling! In both of my appointments I have been asked if I am happy with the service throughout. The staff are friendly and helpful when advising you which colours would suit your skin tone or which type of polish to go for depending on what you want. They are patient and the whole salon environment feels relaxing and you feel like you are being pampered. I am so impressed that I have booked in again for a pedicure. This is something I've never had before because it scares me a little bit but the customer service and choices of colours and products here is so good that I have no worries at all. The icing on the cake is their new booking service through an app which is so handy. No more ringing up and spending hours trying to book an appointment anywhere. The shop is beautiful and very clean. My nails weren't the easiest to fix from a previous nail shop "bad job," but they made sure that they were done in a timely manner and fixed the last shops mistskes and made my natural nail manicure the greatest!
