I came just over a week ago for a pedicure and manicure with gel nails. £58 on the website, and it said the appointment would be 2 hours long, suggesting that there would be some level of pampering. Sadly not the case. No massage or masks at all, just a straight forward nail clip and file, followed by gel applications. Nothing else at all. I was in and out in less than an hour, £58 lighter. I let it go, but figured in future I would either look for somewhere that actual...ly included some massage or at least nourishing mask on the hands/feet or I'd just do my own nails at home. Then, considering these are gel nails and supposed to last two weeks, imagine my continuing disappointment when a week to the day (my appointment was on a Thursday, the following Wednesday/Thursday) my gels on my nails started to lift and come off. I do not do heavy work, do not constantly have hands in water or anything that would damage my nails and every other time I've had gels put on elsewhere they have lasted at least 2 weeks as a bare minimum. And we're not talking chipping. The nails came off clean in one go - just peeled right off!!! If you're looking for a simple in and out place to go and are not bothered about your nails lasting as long as they should, then this is it. Visited for the first time today they were late for my appointment even though I booked, was not a great experience at all. I found it very rude and unprofessional that they all talk in there own language,I told them I want £28 full set and all of a sudden it was £33 and when I get home to check my nails over properly their not straight, feeling annoyed and ripped off. Don't bother to book an online appointment as they don't keep to the time, don't think they even look at their system because they don't check you in. On 2 occasions i've booked an appointment in my work lunchtime and had to wait half an hour before I was seen, shame because they do the Nails lovely but I won't be going back there. Read Less

Thank you so much for helping me. I popped in on the off chance on a Friday afternoon after coming from the airport to have acrylic nails removed. I had them done for a,wedding in Corfu what a disaster they were. But you took the. Off there and then. Very friendly even gave me a cup of tea cannot believe your prices after paying £47 original for acrylic nails out of shape thick and thin plus two cut fingers from them .thank you lovely people will be booking again soon. I went to MK Nails as I had grown disappointed with the nail bar that I have been going to for 3 years. What a lovely surprise MK Nails was.. staff were polite and chatty.. there was a toilet that customers could use and I was even offered a drink! Compared to the previous place it was an absolute breath of fresh air! I got some gel nails done on Wednesday, had to go back on Thursday to get two replaced because they had chipped quote badly after half a day. MK Nails were very good and replaced the two chipped nails for free however it is now Saturday and my nails are all quote badly chipped, so chipped that I am going to have to remove them. I probably wouldn't come back. I took my niece in as a treat and the lady did not listen to what shape she wanted. She took a phone call half way between my nieces manicure which I thought was so unprofessional. Whilst she was choosing a colour, she proceeded to start filing her own nails without sterilising the file afterward. Halfway through, they swapped and a Thai lady came over. It turns out they were done square and the other lady started telling her she said that when I heard her clearly say oval. Very halfhearted apology.
