If I could give this place 0 stars I would! The workers are extremely rude and they ignored me and took 3 people that came in after me before they actually done my nails. When she done them she rushed, she ignored me when I tried to make conversation and on top of that she didn’t even do my nails properly so after the second day my nails (acrylics short) started peeling and chipping off. Worst experience I’ve ever had in getting nails done. The polish was put in such a rushy and messy way, but the worst feeling’s the poor customer services. Their staffs laughed when doing my pedicure, then glanced at me and talked to each other something in their own language. I didn’t know if I had done anything wrong to them. I felt so offended. Even the owner is so rude, seemed like she didn’t want to give me my change when I paid. I don’t mind giving tips if I got a fair service, but it’s just horrible for me. Some staff are ok but there's one particular lady with a serious attitude problem. Was told my nails were dry and ready to go and they smudged straight away. This said lady was very stand offish and mumbled under her breath something in her own language which did not sound like a friendly comment. Absolutely awful place. The workers just talk amongst themselves in there own language. Ate food whilst we were having our nails dried. Totally rude. Didn't speak to us all apart from what colour we wanted and when we asked for designs said they couldn't do that. Wouldn't waste my money again. I love the staff, I have been coming to this salon for almost a year, since I've moved to Orlando in April. I've never left unsatisfied and the prices are so reasonable. I wish I could give this salon 0 stars. I asked for a full acrylic set and manicure and the nail tech completely botched my nails. They charged $13 extra dollars for the manicure, which would have been fine if they actually gave me a full manicure. All they did was proceed to cut my cuticles to the point of pain, all the while leaving jagged edges. After an hour and a half, the acrylics were finally on and ALL over my finger tips which I had to peel off myself. I asked for a ...coffin shape, which cost me an additional $5 as well. The next morning I noticed that my real nails were pulling away from the tips, which could potentially lead to serious problems with my nail beds. When I returned to speak with a manager and ask for a refund I was told there was no manager or owner available and they would only "fix" my nails, which I do not want and refused to get me in contact with the manager. I proceeded to ask another person when the manager would be in and she informed me that the man I was speaking to was the manager. Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT COME HERE. This is the absolutely worst nail salon I have ever encountered. I tried a new place near work for convenience and it was a huge mistake. My nail stylist made me physically bleed by cutting my cuticles too close to the skin line. She also filed one of my natural nails so hard that it snapped. She proceeded to give me the sloppiest gel manicure I have ever seen. There was polish on my fingers and cuticles and file dust under my nails. She left a thick top coat over the corners... of my nails so that it dried against my fingers and proceeded to peel up half the nails the same night. The next day, I went back to speak with a manager and I was told that there was none available, however the man that spoke to me was wildly rude. He said that I should call the number on the card to speak with a manager, but would definitely not refund us. He said that he would fix the nails, but couldn't let me speak with anyone else. When I approached the other woman in the salon, she informed me that the man i was speaking with was in fact the manager! He then said he was too busy to deal with this and went back to work. Ive been going here for years and am always happy with my gels. I have only had one problem when i broke a gel nail the day after it was done. This place repaired it straight away free of charge. The staff are friendly and often offer coffee. The pedicures are fantastic and remove hard skin from the feet, massage the lower leg as well as painting the nails. The massage chair is lovely too. Horrible service , so I went on Sunday & paid 60 dollars for something I could get done back in California for 36 , but I read some reviews and thought oh it's. Spa and family ran better give it a chance since it close to my hotel . So once I get home I noticed my nails seem to already be lifting and keep in mind I got gel manicure & paid 5 dollars to have a few of my nails the old gel taken off . something I never have to pay for or shouldn't like isn't it part of the serv...ice ? Any hoot I get out of the shower and notice that they are imperfect I try to ignore it & on day three which is Tuesday I have horrible nails seems like regular polish , I go back and have them fix it I ask if I can just get something else because I'm not confident they will be left done correctly , the main guy starts to speak in his tongue language & tells me to sit down they will fix it , I sit and all the lady does which is the owner as well , paint over the parts that were lifting and chipped hmm really this is fixing ?? I am beyond upset I said thank you because my mother always told me never to say anything unless it's nice , but really where is the customer service. I will never go back again , !!! The ladies at The Nail Spot are all very nice and they do a great job. They store itself is always clean and neat. They always get me in and out in a timely manner so I can go back to work. They are prejudice and greeted us in a cold manner and then told us to come back on the weekend to see the nail tech who do us kind of people. My boyfriend was like let's go but I chose to stay so that they can see all african americans are not bad customers. I went first to the Classic Nails in Dunstable on Queensway nail salon about 2yrs ago, and had acrylic tip nails done. Anyway I returned today 22/08/2012 and on their board they had a listing of acrylic nails £25 and gel nails £30. I asked the lady attendant/manicurist for the difference and all I got from her was, 'you do gel', without telling me the difference although a friend kept telling me there is no difference. My problem was the pretense of language barrier...do you think that they should operate if they cannot describe or give advice on customers nails or the differences in their products. Anyway I decided to get the gel done and my friend the acrylic. The application from start to finish to end was no difference and also the time this took to be done was irritating and the pain afterwards is excruciating. My other biggest problem is that when I got home I went online and found out that they are not giving any gel treatments and all thats there is acrylic and as the gel treatment states, its all gel, made to fit your nails and not the liquid and powder stuff they use. This is mainly misrepresenting a product to get the most profits. They know what they are doing as they charged me for the gel treatment and my friend for the acrylic even though there was no difference, except hers was a pinkish powder and mine a clear one. Will never go back there again as they are a bit heavy on the drills and filing. I will rate this business 1 star or even half if I could, as they were quick to take my money. Read Less
