Horrendous. My mum and I went for mani/pedi yesterday evening, I had shellac and my mum had regular varnish... she only had the treatment because I insisted she treat herself as she never usually would. The actual experience aside, my mums nail varnish has completely come off and it is only midday the following day. To make matters worse, I called to explain and they were in no way apologetic, I asked for a mobile so I could send pictures and just asked for a refund for her manicure only. They refused and had no interest in seeing what the problem was. On top of all this, they are overworked, the place is a tip and are actually quite expensive (£59 I was charged for shellac mani pedi) Just to be clear, his is in relation to Kimmys Nails on East Street. Not the greatest experience here. I think I had a girl in training so I am sure it is better with an experienced nail artist.All I wanted was my shellac removed and a manicure. She was very nice but she didn't feel the need to file my nails after the shellac was removed even though there were jagged edges on some nails, even though I said I have some edges that may get caught. She said that the shellac would go over the edges and so it wouldn't matter. She also 'fixed' a broken nail that I had explained about before. I think the shellac was a knock off CND as it took 3 coats and I could still see light through my nail. By the end of the day my apparently fixed broken nail had broken again, and in the two days since my nails feel week and three have broken. Either this is due to the knock off polish or her not filing the jagged edges.While I wouldn't say don't go here, I would say ring and ask for a senior technician as I feel quite annoyed I paid £20 for broken nails and I am quite sure any other technician would have done a better job. For those of you who like the idea of a pampering session which involves a manicure followed by a spa, or vice versa, Kimmy's Nails and Beauty may be the place for you.  A small, understated salon which could probably do with a makeover itself, this venue is nonetheless popular with the locals.  And there is no gender prejudice here - Kimmy's Nails and Beauty makes a point of marketing itself 'for ladies and gents'.  Surprisingly, though, I have yet to see a gent in here... i think this shop is superb. I didnt have my nail done but some of my friends have..The only thing i had was a tooth gem, but soon im getting my nails done by them.The staff are very frienndly and helpful.They explain to you wat there doing rather than just getting on with out without a word...I woulld recomend it....
