I have visited Betties and Baldwins on two occasions and I can't recommend the salon enough! I have finally found hairdressers that can handle my very curly hair! I came to Betties and Baldwins looking for an extreme transformation I had long wanted and saved for. I have tried to achieve this 2 years ago at cheaper, less experienced salon and ended up with a flat muddy mess with harsh lines. Elizabeth was great from the consultation to the “end” of this amazing journey. From the beginning she explained the processes, how much work it would take to achieve a look like I wanted, and gave me a price estimate. I came to my appointment know...ing what my hair would go through and that going from medium/dark brown virgin hair to purple/blue/silver takes a lot of work and time and that you can’t predict the exact results, every hair is different. It took us 10 hours to get there, but it flew by. I had legit a great time with Elizabeth and my hair LOOKS FANTASTIC and FEELS FANTASTIC, it’s only a bit dryer but let’s be real, it went through 2 full head bleaches and 3 tonners! This is the best hairdressers in Bristol. Darren is excellent and always listens to what I want, as well as giving plenty of new ideas as to what could work. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair (he also cut my boyfriend's hair who hadn't been to a hairdressers for 15 years – he was also very pleased!). Betties and Baldwins is a cute little salon located down a few steps at the bottom of Small Street. Co-owned by the lovely Kadi, Darren and Esme, who cut their teeth at some of the more interesting Bristol Salons, they decided to go it alone in April and I for one haven't been anywhere else for a haircut since!The salon has a fun 90's vibe (they often host free styling nights with Dutty Girl) and they aren't afraid of an edgy cut or serious colour transformation.
