I went to the salon in Bristol and I asked for gel nails but got acrylic instead. They drilled my natural nail to apply them which has damaged my nails badly. I removed them myself carefully with pure acetone rather than having them drilled off at the salon and causing more damage, they are very weak and I’ll have to grow the whole nail out to have healthy nails again. I had a pedicure at the bath branch two weeks ago. The technician nipped me on my nail bed. This subsequently got a very severe infection in it. Which the doctor told me would have come from poor cleanliness at the salon. I have had to take two courses of antibiotics. I have contacted Ki nails to inform them that their cross infection is not robust enough. Having now looked at industry ‘good practice’ they fail on almost every score. They offered me a free pedicure but when I told them I had no interest in returning but merely wanted reassurance that they would look at their cleanliness I have had silence from them. As my GP pointed out this is disgusting. Imagine what their lack of concern could do to someone who was medically compromised. If you want to pick up a skin infection or a more severe blood carried disease, go there. Otherwise stay away. Read Less
