Shop seems empty all the time, owner sits with eyes down on his phone the whole time ignoring what is going on in the shop, workers are socializing sitting at the pedicure stations He doesn't seem to care and shop is not clean looking. . i have attended resort nails a few times but after my most recent visit, i will never again. my mother and i went to get pedicures to prepare for a family wedding. while my mum was getting her feet done, the person dropped the cuticle clippers and just put them back without doing anything like disinfecting them. the day after we left, i began feeling some pain in one of my big toes. over the course of the weekend my pain only got worse so i got it checked at a pharmacy and it turned out i gained an infection under my cuticle. Have been a happy customer for years here. New owners however don’t seem to know what they are doing. Just wanted my nails shaped and prior ANC removed. Left after 95 min of sitting at their station, with glue still on my fingers, very dry hands from chemicals and nails shaped totally squared and crooked when I wanted rounded. First and last time going. I explained to the guy I wanted THICK EDGES... not sure why my nails are so thin on the edges that they look like I paid $6 for Kiss press ons... yet there's a huge lump in the center of my nails because the nail bed section is where he left the acrylic powder. Horrible experience. I came in and the woman hovered over me as I picked an ANC color. Then she sat me down and began taking off the old ANC. Then she left without a word and did a pedicure and started a second one! So I asked the male worker if someone would be helping me because I'd been waiting for 20 minutes with acetone nail polish remover and he said "that's not long." I almost lost it then and there. 20 minutes with nail polish remove on my finger nails isn't long?!? W...ow. I'm fine to have to wait, but let me know you have someone coming in and I have to wait! Then another woman jumped in to do my nails. She made my thumb bleed and then got red sparkles all in my light pink nail polish from the person before. Totally unprofessional and an awful experience. By far the best nail salon in town. <3 I am here for 1 month from CA for work and I was desperately seeking a good nail salon (after several poor attempts at finding one in the Albany area). I made an appointment on a Tuesday and they greeted me politely and took care of me immediately. Surprisingly they were really busy on a Tuesday evening. I got both a pedi and full set of ANC "dipping powder") nails. There are tons of options for powders, colors, designs, etc. The overal...l ambiance is great and the salon does not have the strong "nail salon" smell and it is very clean. All of the nail technicians are friendly and go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. The owner did my nails and he has 22 years of experience so he is an expert and a perfectionist. I don't usually rant but my experience here is deserving of one. The technician was on FaceTime the ENTIRE time she was doing my nails, barely making eye contact or conversation with me. She said she was checking on her little brother, proceeding to tell me she's in high school. Wait, what?! I understand, life is busy and some things take priority, but I'm a client not a dollar sign. Another client came in the door and she walked away from me, never telling me how long to wait to dry or what to do next and never said goodbye. Just an overall surprisingly poor experience.
