My sister, daughter and niece all had their nails done yesterday at Hollywood Nails, Bayfair branch. Not even 24 hours later polish was chipped and worn off on my niece and daughter. Having returned this afternoon to see what could be done to resolve the problem, I was disgusted by the behaviour of staff who seemed to want to shrug off the problem. Not impressed at all! And would highly recommend that the 2 staff I dealt with today have some customer service training. I will not be returning. Would rather go back to Professionail (just around the corner from this shop) where the staff are lovely and the job is tidier and the polish lasts more than 24hours and the prices are the same.. My own nails are in fairly good condition but one of my thumbs has a vertical split which I had covered with acrylic a few weeks ago. A second nail had a tear and I called in today to have the tear repaired and the thumb nail in filled. The technician used SNS on the finger, I told her that's not what I asked for but she insisted that was now the way it was done. She proceeded to remove the acrylic from my thumb and I thought she was going to replace it but she just filed it then told me to wash my hands and I was done. Sadly what was supposed to be a pleasant trip to get my nails done was let down by the grumpy young lady that attended to me. Her bad attitude was a let down. She didn’t listen to what I was asking and rushed in and ruined some nail art I had done. I felt like an inconvenience to her. Not good enough. What are wonderful team of ladies Nancy does my nails and she has looked after them so well, they are better than they have ever been. The ladies at Hollywood are simply lovely and they all make a wonderful effort to make you feel welcome. I left the place not impressed with the costumer services. I was invited to seat just by another costumer when all other spots were available There was a used towel on the chair. I even pointing to it, but the manicure was expecting me to deal with it. By the way I was treated, I felt like they were doing a massive favor of having me there, but I paid $55?!... Furthermore if you are expecting a minimum manicure service to be done before putting the acrylic nails, just don’t go there. I asked beforehand (a couple of times) if she was going to remove completely the cuticles, and the manicure said so. However, she had already started the extension service when I was informed that to have my cuticles partially removed she would charge me extra $10. At that point, she also tried to persuade me that I have no cuticles and that I could leave the place. Been a busy working mom of a 11 months old, getting time to have nails done by a professional is a miracle and a massive treat. Having a couple of manicures discussing in a foreign language about the situation, avoiding eye contact and getting back to me with a strong tone of voice, was definitely a intimidating experience. Was not happy when I left with my bubbly cracked looking nails. Paid $55 to walk out with horrible nails not happy at all. I only just got them done on Friday and they are already lifting in the corners on every single nail it looks like I've had them done weeks ago. She hurt me so many times and made me bleed, I dont want to pay to be hurt. She was still learning clearly and I didn't have the time to sit there while she tried to do my nails I was there over 2 hours have neve...r sat there that long before. In the end I had to ask for someone else as she kept hurting me and then had to get 3 nails fixed. If someone is still learning you should ask if its ok for them to do someones nails first and ask if you have the time to wait for hours to have them done. I will not be back. My nails looks absolutely awful. Im a mother and my nails are the one thing I get to do, so I like them to look good as its my one spoil for myself.
