I went in asking for dip powder on Thursday and I said I didn't want my nails to be filed down or fragile. They tried to talk me out of getting dip powder and tried talking me into gel nails. They said dip powder would make my nails fragile. I told them I couldn't use gel because they made my nails fragile and I liked the dip powder. They applied the dip powder as bottom coat then gel polish which defeated the purpose of what I asked for. When they removed my dip powder th...ey talked about how healthy my nails were. I said I know they are heathy and it is because I use dip powder. THEY continued doing my nails and USED the drill on ALL of my nails. I kept questioning them and they said they had to use the drill if they applied dip powder. I told them they didn't use the drill at the place I normally went to. But she continued to use the drill and removed my entire top layer of all my nails. I sat there stunned and should have just got up and walked out. They were nice and I didn't want to be rude. So my nails were filed down so thin before they applied the gel polish (which I didn't realize if they used the gel polish it wouldn't really be dip powder like I requested and paid extra for.) I left so upset but they didn't know I was upset. I was nice. Paid $40 for this service and left a $6 tip which I wish I could take back now. My nail has already chipped because they are so thin underneath. My healthy nails are now ruined. I am very upset. I went in explaining what I wanted and didn't want and I came out paying for what I didn't want. I never write bad reviews on businesses but after my nail broke today because of their services I had to share my experience. I deserve a full refund and I will never go back into this salon. I will say they were all polite but every nail salon I have been to provides good customer service. I may even report this to the BBB. Never been so unhappy with a nail appointment. After waiting over 40 minutes soaking my gel off, they started working on every person that came in after me. I clearly wasn't a priority as a paying customer. I would much rather be told they are too busy or come back another time than wait that long and not be taken care of. I won't be back.Read Less

The girls here are great however, the owner stopped one of the technicians in the middle of my service (which was to redo my nails) and had her work on another ladies manicure. I walked out. I don't think that was right but like I said the girls there are fabulous. Just bad management. Read Less

Called and made an appointment for 3 pedicures....got there and 2 of us had our feet soak for 40min before even getting started. #3 was about done with her toes. Asked to talk to a manager and she didn't even apologize or try to fix problem....when I mentioned a walk in came in after us and was finished before we even got started she just said well you're next!! Called ahead to find out what the wait time was to get my nails done, the lady said no wait time. I went there and nobody bothered to come and do the nails. I asked about 3 times as to when someone would do my nails as I had an event to go to. The reply was always 5 minutes. After waiting for close to 30 minutes and asking about the delay, the lady who was managing the salon rudely says that "you can leave if you have to go somewhere". Ridiculously rude and terrible customer service skills especially after having me wait for half hour after I called and enquired about the wait time. The experience I had here was by far the absolute worse experience I have ever had at any establishment in any city or country I have ever lived in. The people that work here are rude, unprofessional and a disgrace to their craft and community. They do not take care for their work or any responsibility for issuing poor quality service. The manager explicitly stated that she doesn't care about complaints or reviews, and employees put their hands on and threaten to whoop their customer's ass in the parking lot, in addition to openly disrespecting their customers in front of a full salon. Horrible experience! You have to wait forever, even with an appointment! The staff is mostly rude and disorganized, and afraid of the owner (a real witch named Phoung.) I have never been offered anything to drink (I see others talking about drinking wine?) And, I know they are speaking badly of the other patrons behind their back (I asked what they said after one lady left and they giggled and told me in English.) terrible customer service! Read Less

Had my second pedi and first mani at L'amour today. Was a wonderful experience. Was taken to a separate, two-chair room with a beautiful mural on the wall and dimmed lighting. There was spot lighting so the technician could see well. Got great massages on both my forearms/hands and calves/feet. My nails look fantastic! Everyone was friendly to me and their co-workers.
