I came to the Dry&Tea City Works salon twice last week; the first time to get mine (and my fiancee's) nails done the night before our wedding, and the second time to get my hair done for the wedding. Both times were absolutely fantastic. Our nails were gorgeous and are still in top condition, Imogen was so lovely and a pleasure to chat to for a couple of hours while we had our nails done. I unfortunately can't remember who did my hair, but she was just as nice as Imogen and did an amazing job! I had a Loved Up style done and it looked beautiful, I was so happy with how it turned out both in person and in all the wedding photos. The cost for the service almost feels like a steal as a customer, considering how much an updo and nails can cost in other salons. It's more than worth the price. The cup of tea with each service is just an extra bonus :) The only disappointing thing is that there isn't a Dry&Tea where I live in Australia! Read Less

I went to Dry & Tea in Britomart, had my make up and an up style for a wedding had an amazing experience everyone was so nice and they did a wonderful job I felt like a million dollars leaving. As I had such a great experience I decided to return but go to the Newmarket salon, this time the experience wasn't so great it was a Thursday St Patrick's day, the receptionist was lovely but the girl that cut my hare was disinterested in what she was doing didnt listen to what I said I wanted, was more concerned with up selling a treatment to me. I took the treatment as I usually do with a trim, she mixed 2 different liquids together and put it in my hair. We returned to the chair after my hair was washed, she said she was going to show me how much she was going to cut off but she didn't and just went on to cut my hair. Since I had the treatment my hair is brittle and a lot of the top lair of my hair has broken off. The treatment was suppose to make my hair stronger but it has made it weaker and now its a mess. The hair cut was ok the service was not great for the $$ you pay and the treatment distorted my hair, I don't know if it reacted with my hair or the girl mixed the wrong stuff together. Dry and Tea have been in contact and offered to give me a complement treatment to help restore my hair. Happy they took my issue seriously and are doing all they to keep there customer happy. :) Read Less

I am the kind of person who is fiercely loyal to my stylist, and since the days when my mom used to cut my hair ended, I've been lucky to have my stylists recommend a new stylist in every city I moved to. Color me panicked when I moved to NZ without a referral in hand. Luckily I struck gold picking Kurtis off Dry and Tea's website. I've been getting my hair cut by him for the last 2+ years, and I'm always super happy. $110 well spent. He's got the right balance of easygoing chatter and quiet. A delight! The salon itself is known for their blowouts and updos, which I've never partaken in. But, their work always looks fab. Nice teas complimentary with your 'do. Today I had the green tea coconut option. Delish! All class, no sass. Love you, Dry and Tea! Read Less

LOVE the dry styling. would definitely come back to get hair done for special occasions!I came here for the hair and make-up package which was around $150 but i think next time i'll just save some money and just do hair. Dont get me wrong, the makeup was good too but the highlight was definitely the hair. I love how they do messy braids and up-dos. If you can't decide on what you want, they have an ipad with their pinterest page open so you can scroll through and tell them what you like. Dry styling takes around 30-45mins makeup can take up to 45-60mins. Altogether it took 1.5hours for me.Highly recommend! make a booking though as they gets busy on weekends with all the bridal parties getting ready for their big days. Read Less
