Popped in for my first manicure on the recommendation/ insistence of my girlfriend. Was very weary at first and having never done it before, a little embarrassed but within moments I was feeling right at home. The atmosphere was lovely and Bridget was some craic! A customer since 2014, Bridgette and the girls have always provided 5 star treatment at every appointment. Although the salon has changed the service has only improved! I thought I would never write an angry post like this. I made a reservation online for eyebrow combo (€35) and mini manicure (€20). I chose the particular beauticians (Bridget and Eka) for each appointment. First when I arrived there, a beautician insisted that I came in 45 min early. She finally made me take a seat when I showed her my email confirmation that demonstrates that I came in on time. After waiting for 15 mins, I finally got to see a beautician. However, they switched up the mini manicure and eyebrow combo. I specifically put eyebrow appt first because I did not want to embarrass myself with redness on my face. Without asking for my feedback, they changed it. And even switched me to a beautician I did not sign up for. Now, mini manicure. When they were cleaning my cuticles, they made four of my fingers bleed. Not sure if you can see from the attached photos but, come on. Four fingers. I mean, how hurried were they that they made four fingers bleed? When the cuticle cleaning was done, I was asked to pay first. She put €20, so I said I would pay mini manicure and eyebrows altogether. So I paid €55 by card. Right after the color application, I was rushed to a small room in the back. I was surprised that the waxing board (whatever it's called) was not covered with sanitary paper or anything like that. It was covered with a grimy long towel. I was getting even more uncomfortable. The beautician, again neither Bridget or Eka that I signed up for, checked if I wanted eyebrow tint. So I said, no, but just shape and waxing. I was put on the board without any preliminary consultation. I mean, nothing fancy, but at least don't they need to show mirror and ask what shape I want or what bothers me the most on my eyebrows etc? The beautician just went straight to waxing. And oh dear lord. She did not change sticks that she used to apply wax on my skin. Umm where is the concept of hygiene? She also did not press my skin to mitigate pain or redness. Not at all. I started to feel violated because I've never been asked what I wanted, or I've never been reassured that this process is sanitary. During the eyebrow waxing, she clarified that eyebrow combo I signed up for included tint. So I asked if the price is same as €35 as the waxing alone. She said yes, though I thought it was odd that waxing price is same as waxing plus tint. Because my skin was feeling so much sensation and I was conscious of redness I hurried, leaving the place once my eyebrows were completed. Now that I hopped on the bus, I went to their website to check the eyebrow waxing cost. There, it literally said €15. Not a damn €35. These people straight up lied to my face. I couldn't believe what just happened. When I came home, I looked into the mirror and I got even more upset. As I was worried, my skin was swollen red. I will never ever go back to this place. Having been home to Ireland to visit from Australia, I decided to go to Dublin for a few days and popped into this salon randomly. My experience was better than any I have ever experienced in Ireland, Australia or Asia. I got shellac on fingers and toes and also a pedicure. Two ladies did my treatments and were both so particular and careful with attention to detail. I couldn't believe how much time and effort went into my pedicure, and how nice it was that I had hand cream massages into my hands after my colour was applied. I was honestly blown away. It's been one week and one day since I visited Glam Nail and Beauty and seriously had (still have) the BEST traditional mani/pedi ever. Lovely girl who helped me (thank you and I'm so sorry I don't remember your name) but homegirl knew what she was doing and cleaned up 1.5 months worth of a mess on both my hands and feet post working the Olympics....we're talking working in a warehouse, travelling, sandals, shipping, flying, travelling then throughout Europe and now back in the states and oh, did I mention, getting engaged!!! Not only did she save me, but my nails still look fresh and I am NOT someone who keeps their nails in order. I can't believe the traditional mani is still in tact...I've put it to the test cleaning and packing and travelling and they still look amazing. 100% worth every penny. I never write reviews, but after my visit with Paulina today I had to. I'm very particular, and a hard one to satisfy when it comes to nail salons, but Paulina was excellent! I got a gel overlay manicure and a pedicure. Despite the salon being slammed with walk-ins and calls, Paulina was thourough, diligent, and meticulous. The shape I wanted my nails was a bit hard to describe, but she listened and perfected it. She is a true artist and the best at what she does. Read Less

I've been here a few times, and it's a solid mani pedi experience. They're always watching a movie in there, so you can watch Mrs. Doubtfire of Bridget Jones' Diary while they're beautifying your nail beds and whatnot. I had a great experience when I asked for nail art for the 4th of July - the girl nailed it (ha!) and they lasted seriously 3 weeks. Why 3 stars you ask? It's just way too expensive. I think my mani pedi ran me €80? Granted it was shellac with nail art on my hands but still. I was offended, that's just far too much when there are places in town that do €12-15 manicures and €20 shellacs. If they lowered their prices I'd definitely return, but I can't justify it. Got my nails done here today, but never again. I walked through the door, absolutely no greeting, not even hello. There was 1 other man in the salon at this time getting a manicure, who happened to turn out to be the owner/manager, and no greeting from him either.I was getting a gel French manicure done, the girl who was doing them, did not speak during the hour and half session, and I mean did not speak. As I was sitting there in silence, one of the other beauty therapist came out from the back room and decided to lay herself out flat on the pedicure chair playing with her phone and watching some of the movie on the tv.Half way through my extremely uncomfortable and intidatimg manicure, the owner/manager decided to have a pedicure behind  me,  absolutely no interest in his customers, only himself. The beauty therapist finished my nails which to be fair I am very happy with, I went to the counter to pay, she put the payment through(I paid by card), putting  my card back in my bag, looked up to pick my receipt and it was left on the counter, and the girl was gone, no thank you, no goodbye, nothing, walked out the door saying to myself never ever again. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. It's back to many of the other friendly customer service nail bars in the city centre. This place is tasteless. Read Less

Came here with my best friend for manicures on a trip home last week. It was fantastic!The interior is really cute, clean and inviting. The staff were lovely. The manager was really fun and chirpy and the nail girls were very pleasant and made customers feel at ease instantly.My manicure turned out brilliantly, as did my friend's. I have one or two tiny chips after a week, but I guess that's what I get for doing a boot camp class and working in an office with sharp folder edges everywhere....overall, my manicure seems to be set to last me quite a while.Prices were good considering the ultra-convenient and expensive-ish location.Will definitely be back when I'm home again. Recently visited this salon for the first time after passing by many times. Got the 3 week Gelish polish. It's the best 3 week polish I've ever had. I have it on 10 days now and it's as perfect as when I walked out of the salon. I've been doing the washing up and usual housework sans rubber gloves and it's had no impact at all! The only "maintenance" is that I rubbed a bit of oil into cuticles every few days - I don't know how effective it is but heard it as a tip. In the past, I've had Shellac (ruined my nails as it chipped a lot so I peeled it off :-/ ) and Jessica but wasn't impressed by either. I don't know if it was due to the quality of the product or the skill of the nail tech but they didn't last - such a waste of money! Really lovely owner and staff, all very down-to-Earth and welcoming. Reasonably priced, very clean, good selection of colours, I'll be back soon! Read Less

I got a manicure here on Saturday. The place was very busy and they could do with more seating for people waiting. Staff were friendly and the beautician did a very careful & skilful job on my nails. I chipped it pretty quickly though and wondered if it had enough drying time. However I would try them again as the paint job was so perfect! Read Less

Had my first pedicure ever here a few days ago, and it was bliss. Before I booked I asked how long it would take, cause I don't see the point in spending thirty quid for ten minutes of treatment. I was told its take 45-60 minutes and it did. I was there over an hour (including allowing my polish time to dry) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. They have amazing specially designed pedi-chairs with massagers built in. It's awesome. Staff were great and chatty, and I enjoyed the movie they had on telly. Glam Nails nails glam! I can count the reasons on one very well-manicured hand.:1. Pedichairs!I made an appointment here based on the recommendation of a friend who had been here, had a great mani/pedi, and knew that they had spa pedicure chairs. In my book, these are requisite to a true pedicure, yet surprisingly hard to find in most of the nail salons I've tried in Dublin City Centre. 2. Colour me Glam.They also have the widest selection of polish that I've seen in City Centre. This includes gel and OPI (which is the best in the biz). 3. Hands on. Even if you're an Olympic athlete, you're only as good as your equipment. Fortunately, their staff stacks up to their gold standard supplies and setting and does an expert job.4. Helping hands. Great customer service. Everyone  - even those not directly involved in my treatment - was friendly and welcoming. Just call to schedule at least a day before. A prior reviewer visiting town gave a low rating after being unable to walk in for a treatment. In my experience, this place does a steady business and an appointment is a must.4. Pretty in Pink. The staff and the decor make this a fun place to be. They know how to pamper you. I could do without the movie playing on the flat screen, though. Reading the 1 star review saddens me, as this is my favorite place to get pampered! The gals at Glam Nails go over and beyond to accomodate you and make you feel your best. I am a regular there, I usually call to make an appointment just to make sure I can get in exactly when it fits me but sometimes I have walked in and they have been able to slot me in right away or at least within an hour or so. I always take advantage of their great mani/pedi offer for €50, great price for the fantastic job that they do! The place itself is decked out in pink with fancy chandeliers and they always have a girlie dvd on to enjoy while they do their work. They have a long counter with stools where you get your manicures and these AMAZING massage chairs with a foot tub for your pedicure. A few times I have been in and they are busy so they will send two girls over to me to work on my hands and feet at the same time while I'm still in the massage chair - the ultimate pamper session!!!Still kind of confused about the 1 star review as they don't have beds? Maybe she went to a different place...every time I have been there they have been so wonderful and do offer a services card, your 4th service is 20% off. I have also been in there past closing time and never felt rushed to get out before my nails were dry as the girls clean the place top to bottom every night before closing up. I was so excited to go and have my nails done...  I wanted a relaxing day and wanted to pamper myself.  I stopped in front of the store, but didn't see anyone.  I tried the door, but it was locked.  It was around 3 p.m. and there was no sign saying that they were closed.  So I thought, I'll go do my shopping and come back a little later.  I stopped by sometime after 4 p.m. and I saw a staff member (I assumed it was a staff member because of the uniform) laying on a bed in another room.  I tried the door again, it was still locked, and the staff member made no attempt to get up, so I called it quits and found some place else to have my nails done.  I was really disappointed because it didn't say that it was by appointment only.
