This place is usually so great. Probably because I've been spoiled by the owner who does impeccable work.  Last week I went in with my mom who was visiting from out of town and my 10 yo daughter.  We had reservations and had to wait a bit, no big deal.  However, the quality of the pedicures we each received was far below expectation. Not only was the polish job poorly done, even for gel pedicure, but there was barely any exfoliation or lotion used. Seriously. The lady who did our pedis used one single pea sized drop of lotion for each foot and barely massaged our feet.  She had a huge bottle of lotion sitting right there and when I asked her for more lotion after she had been tugging on my skin, she used one more small drop. So strange.  Maybe it was a language thing.  Not sure why she even bothered using lotion at all, it didn't do a damn thing. My feet were still dry and cracked at the heals and I have skin around the tip of my toe that should've been taken care of properly. How frustrating to spend your hard earned money for such poor service.  Had the owner done it, this would've been a 5 star review. To top it all off she charged FULL price for my 10 yo daughter's tiny toes.  Too expensive even if the owner did it.  Sadly, I won't be back. Very disappointed.  I suggest you properly train your new hire before using your paying guests as guinea pigs for her to practice on. Read Less

It was an impulsive decision to treat myself for a manicure on my trip to QC. Although it was close to the closing time, but the staff there still take the appointment of me and my friend's.The pricing is very decent, I have shellac manicure done and it is $28. Hence I decided to request for designs (+$3). I literally just show a picture to the technician and she delivered precisely. I love it. Read Less

I would love to give Ongles Rose a better "score" but i'll explain why I can't...There are two questions I ask myself after leaving a salon: 1. Do the staff have talent/skill/capability; and 2. Will I return?The answer to the first question for Ongles Rose is a hesitant yes. Rose, the owner and only person working there, has the knowledge and experience but I think she needs a little more time/experience under her belt before she can be great.The answer to the second question is NO. I have visited Rose on three different occasions. The first was to fix a broken nail. I was the only customer in the salon and had her undivided attention. Her work was good. The second time I went for gel refills/reshaping and new nail design. I was alone when I walked in but half way through other customers came in. That's when Roses's biggest weakness became apparent. She can multitask but at the expense of quality of work. Her work quality went downhill rapidly. I decided to go there for a pedicure on a separate occasion. Again she had other customers and her work was not great at all. $30 for a 15 minute pedicure! There was no scrubbing of my heels, no exfoliation... Not satisfied.I think Ongles Rose could be much better if the quality of work wasn't affected by the volume; or if another nail technician is hired to handle busier times.I've given this business three chances; I will not be going back.
