I was in Montreal for a wedding and decided last minute to get a blow out. Called Salon Deauville early morning and they fit me in that afternoon. Although I did wait about 20 minutes to be seen, I chalked that up to having made my appointment at the last minute and them squeezing me in. Stylist Louisa did my hair and she was superb ! When I'm back in Montreal ( which is often ) I will book another appointment. My daughter tagged along and they were able to fit her in for a pedicure in their full service spa. There is quite a buzz to the place. It has a cafe set up on the premises as well as some clothing and jewellery for sale. If you prefer a quiet salon where you fall asleep in the chair, this isn't it. But if you like lots of energy and activity in your hair salon, you won't be disappointed. Read Less

Not only is she a talented hair stylist but she’s an all around great human being and fun to be around. She makes getting a haircut exciting. She is honest and will let you know if a haircut won’t fit you however she’ll still do wonders if you’re mind is set. I went to this salon for a color correction and left with hair that went beyond my expectation. I've never been to a salon with friendlier staff! Robert is a hilarious hair washing scalp messaging dream and Tanya, that woman is amazing. She knew exactly what to do with my hair, and fixed it better than I thought possible. Her cutting skills are certainly impressive. I left feeling amazing. I've never been happier at a salon, and will certainly be a regular client now. I've heard about this salon before and when I had to get a very last minute Shellac manicure, I got it the day after I asked for one. Super convenient since it can usually take days before you get yourself an appointment elsewhere. An amazing woman named Magie, I believe took care of me and made sure to give me the most pleasant experience possible. It was done perfectly. She took her time to give me the best results. I decided to come here because of the ratings. This was a waste of time. I hated my experience. My stylist was nice. But the whole system work as other previous reviewers have said " like a factory". My stylist went off to work on her own hair. I didn't even bother going to the other area where they style your hair. Looking at my hair dried, well it could definitely use some toner........ I think a lot of the other people who review this place as great are caught up with the idea of it's uniqueness and glitzy presentation. It works just like a factory with poor results. I am very picky and demanding with my haircut, a gradually, highly accentuated bob, because I have very thin hair that doesn't arrange itself properly. In 5 years in Ottawa I wasn't able to find someone to do it the way I wanted it done. So I took my chance with Deauville following the excellent reviews and I met Jennifer, the hairdresser who did an amazing job. I'm super thrilled with my new haircut! When you've put your hair in a bun for two months it's time for a trim... tried this place on the advice of a friend.  The outside is not much to look at, on an industrial stretch of Jean Talon, but once you swing open the big brass door, a lovely open spacious salon awaits!  Service was super friendly and helpful, from reception to the person who washed my hair and brought me coffee, to my fantastic stylist, Tanya.  Was very happy with my cut, she was knowledgable and listened to what I wanted.  It's a full service salon, will have to try some of their other services next time.  It's a little out of the way for me, but easy to get to outside of rush hour, and parking is easy with a big lot.  They even offer valet parking.  Fabulous, dah-ling. i was looking for a salon to get a nice change for the fall. I searched on google and  one of the best salon that came up is Salon Deauville. I called for an appointment and the receponist were very nice and understanding of what i wanted. I came for a color with the colorist Kim and we decided on doing an ambalayage, she was absolutly amazing and did an amazing job that i thought wasnt even possible. I love this place because the girls are so nice, welcoming, quick and efficient. I get my nails and waxing done here on my lunch breaks, so time is always of the essence. Deauville is such a charming and comfortable salon. I usually go Saturday mornings where it really is a very pleasant zen-like ambiance. Everyone's enjoying their delicious coffee, the vibe is very relaxed. I think the staff are all wonderful, and all the the girls are so nice, not pretentious like some salons.
