When I moved to the West Island, I tried two other nail salons with good reviews on Google--but Q Spa is the one I will continue to support. I've gone 3 times so far and made an appointment each time. Although they're very busy, I'm greeted as soon as I walk in and the appointment time is kept with 5 minutes. On my first visit, the owner overheard me voicing some concerns over the type of shellac used--and he quickly came over to take the time to to explain why they use the shellac they use. Then he told me about the history of the business and his commitment to quality--and then we just made small talk, but it was a very nice experience. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxing. I've often seen little jokes exchanged between some of the nail technicians and a few of the clients. You can tell that many of the clients have been loyally coming for a while. There is a good balance of professionalism and warmth. As for the quality of the manicure: they have a technique that is just above-and-beyond what I've seen in other nail salons, including fancy/expensive places. Two of the three times I've gone, I had the same nail technician who is a master of her domain. She does all 10 fingers for round 1, and then for round 2 and 3, she takes the time to look at each nail and make little adjustments. I personally don't like when all fingers get EXACTLY the same amount of coats, I like the custom treatment :) All this amounts to a beautiful job. I'm constantly staring at my nails and I've never experienced chipping (I go about every 2.5 weeks). I highly recommend Q Spa :) Read Less

Had an appointment at 6pm for a pedicure with a friend and a manicure after. He called me at 515pm to tell me to come at 630pm because girl was in traffic. I asked if I could do manicure first so he told me to come at 530pm. I get there and wait till 610pm. What's the point in telling me to come earlier if you aren't going to serve me. Waste of time.
