In March I booked an appointment for my daughter and I for a pre-vacation mani/pedi. We both wanted shellac for fingers and toes. When I booked I confirmed the price. On the day of our visit, after our nails were done, my daughter tried to pay with debit but was told they only took cash. They were very irritated that she had to leave to go to a bank machine (even though I was staying until she got back). When she asked how much she owed they told her $20 more than I was ...quoted . When I questioned the price, I was rudely told it was more for shellac. I couldn't verify since they had no prices posted. I had decided I would not return. However, my daughter gave me a gift certificate for my birthday, for a manicure with shellac. When I went today and told Tommy I had a gift certificate, but also wanted a pedicure , he told me it would be $25. After my visit , when I gave him my gift certificate , he told me I had to pay $15 more because the gift certificate only said "shellac", that my daughter had only paid $20. I contacted my daughter who advised me she had paid $35. He basically called me a liar, told me to have my daughter come in to talk to him. Well it was his word against hers , since he only takes cash. My daughter is an 18 year old student that works part time. I told him I hope he is happy ripping off teenagers , and that he needs the $15 more than she does. Lesson learned, folks, make sure you get your dollar amount written on your gift certificate, not just the service, because he will say anything to get you to pay more than you should. He doesn't post his prices. I told him I wouldn't be returning and he told me "I hope you keep your word". Well, he doesn't have to worry, I will keep my word and not return. What kind of business owner acts like this when a customer questions, or has a complaint. I was very polite in asking and was well within my right. His staff did not speak English to me. Finished with my manicure then walked away. He came over and said "you are done now", and then gouged me with the extra cost. Tommy, there is too much competition out there to treat your customers like that. See More Read Less
