I went to this salon at Devonshire Mall yesterday at approximately 8pm. I had a manicure done with shellac polish. They did an ok job on my manicure but I was shocked when the woman took the cuticle clippers and put them back in the drawer without cleaning them after she used them on me. Then she took the bowl I had soaked my fingers in ( which was cold water) and dumped out the used water and wiped it out with a towel and put it in the cupboard. No cleaning or sterilization there either. I was so disgusted. And not to mention that the whole time you are there they talk in their language and you feel invisible. For Mothers Day my son gave me a gift certificate for a mani pedi to L'amour Nails as I have been going there for years. I went yesturday and I left in tears. My pedi went pretty well and then she did my mani. This was a whole other story. She was rushing and not taking the care that I was used to..when completed I put my glasses on and noticed my pedi polish did not cover well so with hesitation because I'm not one to really complain I asked if I could have another coat as it was a very light pink and I guess 2 coats didn't quite cover it. She was aggressive pulling my feet while talking very angrily and loud to her coworkers which I couldn't understand but def had the feeling it was about me as they all were looking over. Then I noticed my mani and it was a mess. Cut finger jagged nails and polish not covering the whole nail. Another worker tried to fix it. Then I asked them to take it off as by now I'm embarrassed and uncomfortable as a scene is now being made. As I paid he tried to show me 20% off but I showed him it was a gift card and he just took it with no composition or reimbursement. By now the girl was Yelling behind me and I told the manager I was uncomfortable and was leaving. He let me leave with paying in full and no resulution. I remained outside the business and called my family for advice. As I was doing so the Manager came to me and gave me a $20 bill back. He made excuse after excuse for her behaviour and for the terrible manicure. He stated that I had bad cuticles and if she worked at them anymore she would cut me. Isn't this their profession. He said he knew I was a long time customer. I explained how I felt humiliated and ashamed for speaking up on what was an ovbious bad job and that even though I could not understand the conversation in the language they were using it was 100% directed at me and they got really loud and aggressive sounding and all looked at me. Unprofessional!! He seemed to agree to that statement. He said he didn't componsate me at the till cuz I didn't ask to be componsated. What? Trust me when I say I'm the quiet one that prefers not to stand out and just enjoy life as It comes... This was the worst experience ever! I will never return! Unprofessional Bullies. Read Less

I and 6 friends got manicure and pedicure done at this salon. We love the place, we made appointmment in advance and asked if they can do all 7 of us at the same time, and they said yes. When we came, they prepared 7 pedicure spas for us in a row. They used disposal liner for the pedicure, they also use disposal tools such as buffer,... lots of shellac colours to choose... This is the only salon in Windors that can accomodate large group of people! Read Less

My girl friend always come to L'amour Nails for her nails. She is extremly happy with her nails. She would not go somewhere else. It is a best nail salon in Windsor. Very convenient because it is in the mall. (Open late and open on Sunday). This salon has been in business for a long time as long as I can remember. Good selection of gel colour. Today was my daughters 14th birthday & all she was asking for was acrylic full set of nails. My daughter was born with 2 nails that are really smaller than the others. The nail lady laughed and showed all her co-workers and even snuck a picture of it on her phone! This is all she wanted for her big day & you guys were horrible bullies! We will definitely not be coming back. Just plain rude making fun of a kid. Told them to just finish so we could leave. You should all be ashamed of yourselves! I went to Nail Palace and the owner did an absolutely amazing job on my nails I love them and I just told him to do whatever he wanted to do just surprise me and I couldn't be more happy!!!! I am from out of town, and don't want to go to a street corner nail salon. So I decided to visit a 'brand name' nail salon, one with many locations. First, I am a bit hesitate because of the the reviews but I would like to give a try. My first impression is positive, the salon has a very modern nice decor., and it is very clean, and big, and busy too (Busy is a good sign, other people must like the place... when I visit a restaurant, if it is busy it means good food!). The prices seem to be very reasonable, expect to pay may be 10% more than the one on the street corner since it is in the mall I guess. For my pedicure, I was very happy to see they used a new plastic liner to put in the pedi tub for each customer, mental stainless steel instruments are sealed in dental pouch, new buffer, new sand band....staff is wearing glove. They have so many shellac colours (few hundreds) to choose... Overall, it is a very positive experience in term of services, hygiene,... My nail Tech. did a very good job on my pedi & my gel nail. I took my daughter there for her Birthday and she told me they burned her hand with the curing tool and they were very sloppy. The nail polish was towering and very thick. We asked for her toe nails to be done and one of the ladies told us that there was no time and we needed to pay. Though they look like they are very professional you must not be fooled! They. Are.HORRIBLE do not go there. The only good thing about our experience is that there was a very kind greeting. Also they are very expensive for there crappy work. Had an appointment at 3:30. Waited for 45 minutes. 6 people came after my friend and I, all with appointments at 3:45 or later. When two chairs were finally open for my friend and I, the worker took to other people whose appointment was after ours and seated them starting their pedicures before us. Went in today for a fill, waited half an hour and had my two colours picked out. The lady then said " no no pick shellac". I proceed to keep my colours and when I got up to the gentlemen he said I wasnt allowed and had to do shellac. I generally get acrylic with a gel top coat costing $23. TODAY cost me $33, my nails look awful - chunky and the shape isn't what it normally is, the colours I wanted they didn't even have in shellac and the colour he said was similar to the ones I chose weren't at all. Such a scam of a place. Will never go back again and I hope no one else does. It's disgusting the business they run there. It's money first and they definitely don't care about what the client wants. Of all the nail salons I have tried over the years, Nail Palace is by far the best. I have had both a pedicure and full set done and very pleased with both services. I can pretty much go in with any picture of how I want my nails and walk out of there with them looking even better than expected!
