John is talented no doubt but in hes years of getting to one of the top nail salons he has inquired some bad habits with taking people in front of other peoples appointments, rushing through hes work to get to the other person. When he first started he always seemed interested in conversation and making the customer feel great... now not so much. He looks tired and overworked now which is not a good look for the salon. John shapes the nail very well. Mine have been on for 3 weeks and not one has fallen off! Truly Amazing! Tina did the nail polish. This is where I felt that the quality lacked. Even though I paid to have it upgraded to gel polish, the polish chipped off a few spots within a week. Sadly, the polish job made some of my coffin shaped nails distorted. Not happy about that. First timer. Boyfriend bought me (and prepaid) a 30 minute facial. Arrive and I am taken to the room 15 minutes later than my appointment scheduled time. Checking out and was asked for my Groupon. Advised i don't have one and that my boyfriend prepaid for this service as a surprise for me with no Groupon. The woman tells me I received the 60 minute European facial (which looking at their online description of it, I most certainly did not) I'm charged 75 dollars instead of 30...!!! They have no record of the prepayment they took YESTERDAY. I checked out at 3:12 and my original appt was for 2:15 but wasn't taken back till 2:30. This is not an hour. Even after explaining to the receptionists I was still charged for a service I didn't receive Tried to call and was put on hold. Would not recommend to anyone! See more Read Less

Just stopped into The Main Salon - Downtown. It has a very friendly atmosphere and gorgeous decor that compliments the beautiful brick walls. I had a great experience, the barbers/salonists are hands on and attentive. I received my haircut from Jonah, very skilled and friendly guy. Going to be recommending him to friends. Great to see such a great business on Main Street in the heart of the Arts District. Keep up the great work! I will definitely be returning. Read Less

It was my first time at the main salon and I was very excited to get my hair highlighted!My stylist was Dani and she was extremely warm and inviting. She did an awesome job on my hair. I felt their prices were fair and the quality of service was great. The products they used on my hair are wonderful. I ended up going back to get a portion of my hair touched up and Dani fit me Into her schedule the next day and she was extremely understanding. I am so happy with my finished look. Thank you! Dani did such an unbelievable job with my airbrush makeup for my wedding! I was very skeptical on airbrush makeup because I have never gotten it done before, but it was totally worth it. I was amazed by how great the makeup stayed on for the whole wedding day. I felt so beautiful all night and I didn’t have to touch up anything. Thank you so much Dani! I had a most wonderful experience at The Main Salon. It started with an outstanding pedicure with Marnie; she doesn’t give a good pedicure, but rather a great one! She is thorough and gives a stellar foot and leg massage. What a lovely clean look I have with the color I chose. She polishes with precision! Then Betz performed magic on my hair. I have been fighting frizz for years, yet I walked out after only a blow dry style with no frizz! I love the highlights he chose for me... blending them so naturally. Betz is polite, a good listener, accommodating, knowledgeable, and he gives the best head and neck massage I have ever had! Betz is not pushy; an admirable attribute I appreciate.
