After a long search, I finally found a salon and stylist that I'm extremely happy with. From the moment I walked in the doors and was handed a coffee till the time I left, I enjoyed my experience. I went from long hair to a pixie cut and couldn't have been happier with the outcome. This will now be my regular salon, and I also plan on using the spa services as well. I come to Voila Uptown all the way from Brampton specifically for Lisa. She is AMAZING. Lisa is great at listening to what you want and gives great suggestions when your not so sure what your new look should be. She is easy to talk to, and makes the whole experience super comfortable. Brooke, at the Uptown location, did a balayage on my hair today and it went simply beyond my expectations! She's just awesome... I so appreciate how she patiently answered all my questions, discussed the options and tried her best to accommodate all my requests! I am giving a 3 star for the overall feeling and friendliness of staff, not for what services I received. During my eyebrow waxing, a section of my eyebrow was waxed off. My manicure lasted about a day before it chipped, and my pedicure was sub par. My feet felt great don't get me wrong, but my nails did not look great. unevenly cut and filed, I ended up cutting some of them myself when I got home. Will not be returning to this location. Disappointed with my experience at the Sportsworld location. I was basically "upsold" from a nail colour change that should have been $15 to a $45 dollar pedicure. I blame the receptionist who took my call only 2 hours before my appointment. She first said she wasn't aware of the basic service I had requested (and said the simple nail change should only be 15) then said oh I thought maybe you called back and asked to upgrade - how does that even make sense...in the end I paid for what I got but not what I asked for and it cost me an extra $30 and therefore will not return to the Sportsworld location ever! Awesome salon! I felt pampered from the moment I walked in - I arrived early and the receptionist took my coat and served some delicious tea while I waited. The stylist Brooke took me on time and she was excellent throughout my visit! I loved the coffee scented shampoo, scalp massage, and later, the hand massage. She was sweet and kind and took her time cutting and styling my hair with beautiful curls. I never felt rushed like at other salons in the past. Thanks for an awesome experience! I saw Brooke at the uptown location today. Fantastic! She was professional and it was like she has done my hair for years, she was just so in tune with what I needed. The complimentary hand massage and hair curling afterwards sold me on this place for good. I came here a few weeks ago and I must say I was very impressed. The service was outstanding! I had booked an appointment to get a haircut by a senior stylist for my first visit. Tara, the stylist, was very knowledgeable and friendly. I could tell that she had a lot of experience with curly hair. She took her time to make sure it looked great and I must say I was a very happy customer. My curls blend and have more volume and definition. The price was also very affordable considering the quality of service that I'd received. I will definitely be returning to the same stylist, and recommending her to anyone with curly hair.As far as other services, I did receive a complimentary hand massage which felt fantastic and I was greeted upon entry with a cold ice tea.Great job voila! Sandy at the Northfield location has been my stylist for years. I get so many compliments on my hair. It's always top notch, with the most current cuts and colours. I love every look they created for me. I moved out it the city years ago and still make the drive in to Waterloo for my hair appointments.
