I have got my nails done many times, at many different places, and this was by far my worst experience ever. I went in asking for acrylic nails, my thumbs were fills and the rest was a new set. From the moment I walked in I was not impressed by customer service, I was constantly given looks like I’m an idiot because I have majorly short nails. I have gotten my nails done with them way shorter and not had an issue. She was always texting on the 10second breaks. I asked for white tips, she insisted on clear and painting the white on. One tip(before acrylic) was super crooked. I pointed it out and she kind of giggled and said oh ya. Then proceeded without fixing. The painted white tips were uneven, messy and not matching the opposed finger, I asked her to fix the one that bugged me most and she made a huge deal about it and didn’t even fix what the problem was that I pointed out. Then I went to pay and it was more than advertised. Yes I’m 8 months pregnant and over emotional but I have never had such a horrible experience! Do NOT recommend Nails for You in Bridgeport plaza. I know it was technically only one person, but the other workers saw and heard me as-well so I hold the whole place accountable. I will not be going back, ever. Read Less

I don’t know why there are so many bad reviews, but then again, the couple of bad experiences doesn’t make this place terrible honestly I’ve been to this salon for over 8 months and I’m a regular customer, the employees are good people, prices are reasonable, you just have to clarify the price with them and service is good. I love the pedicures and it’s super relaxing at the end of a long day for sure. Read Less

It was my first time there, I saw the low reviews, but wanted to give it a chance. I asked for round and my natural nails were already nice and long. I asked them for them to remain long :( but sadly they were cut short and filed even shorter. It's so uneven and terribly ugly...so sad. It's pricey for the terrible job done! By far my worst nail experience ever. I didn't like my nails, but I paid $42 for a French manicure -.- that I hate. They were nice though, on the up side! Read Less

Really painful filing job (she literally tried filing away the TOP of one of my nails, to the point where she was getting the skin underneath), the lady made fun of my real nails, I asked for acrylic and she gave me gel and charged me extra for it, nails were REALLY poorly shaped afterward, so much so that I had to go home and fix it myself. I went here today for the first time. I had a great experience. The gentleman that was with me was very pleasant. We had a great conversation and spoke about their eyelash extension service. The other people were very nice as well. I see a few spots on my nails that are a bit off (nail polish) but I'm not one to sweat the small stuff. I will be going again. Read Less

I used to go here because of the cheaper prices, but after my last experience here I would not recommend this place to anyone. 1. Booking an appointment does not mean anything here. This place operates with the intent to get as many people through the door as possible. I waited 40 minutes for my "appointment" to begin. Once it started, the lady who was doing my nails kept hopping back and forth between myself and another client. I also witnessed 5 people come in, all of whom were told it would be a 15 minute wait. They kept trying to get people in to fill their chairs and would then make them wait for an hour plus as they hopped back and forth between people. 2. I am not sure what section of the health code would apply to nail salons, but I can bet there are some serious violations here. The second lady who did my nails during this visit (yes there were multiple people working on my nails), cut me and made me bleed. I did not see here sanitize the scissors after she cut me, making me very concerned about whether the tools were sanitized before she used them on me and cut my skin. I've never seen the tools be cleaned before in any of my visits here.. 3. It was by far the ugliest biogel manicure I have ever received in my life. My chipped nails looked far better than the manicure I left with, and of course since they told every single person who walked in they would attend to them in 15 minutes, they refused to fix it. I normally do not write bad reviews, but after my visit here I felt obligated to share my experience to anyone considering trying this place out. The first 2/3 times I went here I had a decent experience despite hearing friends I recommended this place to say their experience was horrible. After the last incident it is clear this nail salon does not care about the quality of their work, or keeping customers. My daughter and I went for a manicure a few days ago. She did shellac and I did a French tip with regular nail polish. Her nails are holding up well but mine only lasted two days. I usually get a week out of regular nail polish before it starts to chip and I have to remove it. I understand regular nail polish does not last very long but mine completely peeled off. I think the products they used were bad and because it's regular nail polish they won't do anything for me. Read Less
