this is literally the worst hair salon i have ever experienced to date. SYLVIA who claims she’s not the owner had the worst customer experience i have ever endured. Not only was my hair experience a nightmare, but I had to come back several times to fix a job that should not have required so much time to fix. I have never ever been so upset with the outcome on what happened. I would suggest to please use extreme caution when coming in. SYLVIA THE MANAGER IS DISRESPECTFUL + OUTDATED PRACTICES FURIOUS WITH THIS SALON , NEGATIVES STARS. The outdated and very old Manager Sylvia colored my hair turning my blonde hair COMPLETELY BLUE i spent HOURS there, the manager and staff barely knew how to CORRECT it their knowledge,training, and style are from 40 YEARS AGO. After washing it out they stripped my hair of ALL color, body, volume and healthiness leaving my hair a DULL GREY BEIGE (NOT WHAT ANYONE WANTS). My Hair is colored Blonde and has been for a long time. I went to the Tonyc Salon to remove some brassiness. I was NOT happy at all Sylvia told me i have to pay $226 for the services that i did NOT want or LIKE, i disputed the charges and paid $180 the customer service was extremely poor. Based on the Salon and the Approach of Sylvia i can tell you the Salon is NOT a DIVERSE PLACE. I am not happy. This location at Promenade Mall Thornhill only has 2.3 stars. Just left the salon about 30 minutes ago and had the pleasure of spending 7 hours there with Hamid and the rest of the Tonyc team assisting throughout the day, I haven't coloured my hair in over 6 years and am extremely picky. from the minute I met him, I trusted him and didn't doubt his work (also after stalking him on Ig for months) I have extremely thick hair and it's almost down to my waist. We did a balayage which took all day, and I can say it was worth every dollar I spent and every hour it took. I told him to do whatever he thought would look good and He exceeded all of my expectations plus more. I would recommend him to everyone and am in Love with the results. Definitely found a keeper:) Thank you Hamid!! Oh and not to mention, all the girls who were assisting were amazing plus the cappuccinos were better than Starbucks;) only one thing, If your spending the day there as I did, maybe bring a cushion to put on the chair cut your butt might be sore by the end of it lol. xox Read Less

Visited this location for an appointment with Lea. My hair is blonde and has grown out and I came to have my roots touched up plus a haircut. Literally the worst experience I've ever had getting my hair done. Throughout the appointment she kept trying to upsell both me and my friend. Which is totally fine I respect her business however she became way too pushy. Twenty or so minutes into the appointment she tried to send my friend for a coffee run. "Did you know there's an a...roma downstairs? You must be hungry. You go and I'll give you money to get me something too." To which my friend politely refused which was awkward enough. It literally took overall three and a half hours to just retouch my roots and bring the blonde up. Not to mention my hair is ONLY shoulder length. The entire time she was yelling at her colleagues condescendingly "bring me more foil I need foil right now!" Then she brought me to a sink to tone my hair. She started another clients hair (who I believe was her friend or longtime client) while the toner was still in my hair. They started talking in their language about me saying I was impatient and imitating me. Little do they know I'm half of their descent and understand them. The toner was in my hair so long, it was borderline green/gray and she tried to convince me the entire time that it looked nice. She had to tone my hair twice and my hair ended up being significantly darker than what I came with. I became so frustrated after sitting there for 3+ hours with results I DID NOT want that I cancelled the haircut. Finally when I go to pay, she tells the cashier what I had done and I noticed they were still trying to charge me for the haircut. I told the cashier I DID NOT get a haircut and she had to ask Lea who then confirmed and tried to act like she forgot. "Oh yea you're right I forgot". I went to have my hair cut and coloured and was talked into having my hair stripped and coloured lighter. I was quoted a price and told it would take 2.5-3 hours. 5 hours and hundreds of dollars later, I left as the salon closed. There wasn't even enough time to get my hair blow dried. I tried to get used to the new colour for a week but I hated it. I called the salon and said I wasn't happy and asked if anything could be done. I was given an appointment 5 days later. I had a consult with another stylist who agreed that my hair was very orange, that my grey roots didn't take the colour and that my hair felt awful (it felt like there was a coating on it that wouldn't wash off). She told me what she wanted to do and I asked about cost and she came back with a quote of $75 plus more for a blow dry. I said that I couldn't imagine spending another 100 on a job that I initially spent $300 on to have done properly! She asked if she should get the manager and I said sure. The manager didn't come to talk to me but the stylist came back with a tons of reasons and excuses as to why I was being charged. I walked out. I am so disappointed that this salon did not stand by their work or do everything they could to please their customer. Such a waste of time and money. Read Less

Few weeks ago I decided to make big changes to my hair.. I'm very picky and I was looking for professional who can meet my expectations and bring my wish to come true.. I went to Tonyc and spend some time discussing what I want to see. Fortunately I got an amazing professional in front of me(her name is Hope), she listened and she made few suggestions. The result is incredible! It's not only what I was expecting but even better! I love this multi colour idea and I'm absolutely happy with the result. Called in to see if they had any appointments available on the same day, which they did. I was booked in with Olga. I came a bit early, but Olga was able to take me in right away. She's very friendly and outgoing, pretty funny as well! She asked how I wanted my hair to look like and I showed her a picture of the cut I wanted (long bob). Knowing how terrible my last bob went...I was very nervous, but Olga reassured me and explained to me in detail before cutting what she was going to do. She first washed my hair and offered a hair treatment, which I agreed on considering how dry my hair was. The scalp massage during the wash was amazing, and I'm glad I agreed on the hair treatment because my hair is amazingly softer now, which I love! After the wash, she led me to the chair and the cutting process began...I guess she could tell how nervous I was because I was so quiet, but she kept reassuring me that it will turn out good and how amazing it looked from the back. It's funny cause what made the smile the most and calm down was how outgoing and fun she was! I guess she loved the music playing in the background because she kept singing along and dancing haha. Anyway, once the cut was done, she showed it to me in different angles with the mirror and even took pictures so I can see. She then blow dried my hair and straightened it with the hair straightener. Honestly, I am so in love with my hair! I can't thank Olga enough. I am definitely going to be coming back since I found my saving grace for hair in my area. I paid a total of $102 + tip.
