I don't understand why the reviews on iRIS are so low so please do not let some of these negative comments sway your judgement, this is my favourite place to get my services done. My Mother, who is an esthetician of over 30 years, raves about this place. She is one of the pickiest people I know regarding esthetic services and this is her go to. They honestly do a great pedicure! But are garbage for everything else. Anyone iv did a shellac manicure, I went back 2 to 3 times to fix the chips... Pathetic! They don't even do a real manicure.... You don't soak your hands to let your cuticles soften. After one list did my "manicure," another woman came and redid it. She actually thought the other woman didn't do it, that's how bad it was. Service here is excellent. The interior is very beautifully decorated and the whole atmosphere gives off a relaxing, soothing vibe. Hi, I got a gift card to Iris Spa & Nails to get Shellac on my hands and I've gone to 3 other places before and can tell you this was my worse experience. First this place was very dirty. on the side table that is attached to my chair there was bunch of cut nails from the last person which was very gross. 2nd after getting my nails done 3 days later 3 chipped. Went back they fixed it but they wanted to just go over it (I think the owner was pushing for that) but I told them I prefer they do it all over again. 4 days later another 2 chipped. This was ridiculous. I love Shellac as it always lasts for a good 3 weeks. Very disappointing and worse of all wasting so much time keep having to go back to fix it. Read Less

Horrible horrible customer service. I used to go to this place cos of their French tip nails. However, this time they were unnecessary rude. They cut my cuticles and made them bleed. Thank god at least I didn't get an infection. It was like they were trying to get us out as fast as they can. Don't know if the owner changed or what, but I won't go waste my hard earned money on these people. would never recommend this salon again. Read Less

The atmosphere was cute and clean, but the actual service was pretty bad. The technician I had was very sweet and kind, but during my shellac pedicure she proceeded to cut 3 of my cuticles to the point of bleeding. Then, when she went on to paint my toes, she left them streaky and unevenly filed. All in all a disappointment. Won't be going back. Read Less

I went there once for a bio-gel refill. The girl told me over the phone it was $38 for the refill but once I sat down, my person, Linda, tried to find every reason to charge me more. First she said my nails needed a new set which was $10 more - not 38$.  Once I accepted the new price, she asked me if I wanted my cuticles trimed for another $10 more. I was so confused because a NEW set for $48 should include cutting of cuticles so why are they charging me $10 additional for that?! $58 for a new set now?! I've been to 15 places from Vaughan to Richmond Hill to Markham, and Newmarket and never paid $58 for a new set! On top of that, shouldn't a refill be to take off my existing bio gel and replace with new gel?? Then 20 mins into doing my nails, I wanted to add some designs on my nails and asked her what kind of designs they can do. She said she can't draw any designs but only add stones on for me - $5 for EVERY stone I wanted to add. What kind of amateur place was this that doesn't do nail designs first of all??And then trainwreck continued.. Not only did Linda struggle to get her UV lights to work - she changed 4 different machines and couldn't wrap her head around why they didn't turn on. When she finally got one to work, the UV lights were so strong they started burning my nails. I told her the UV lights were hurting my nails, Linda gave me a nasty look and told me that she's been doing nails for 10 yrs and it's normal to feel pain under the lights. I told her I've gotten my nails done for 15 yrs and only felt a slight sensation from cheap gels in the past but never to the point it hurt this much. She continued to challenge me and told me I was wrong. Wow... She had the worst attitude and customer service skills I've ever experienced. She had NO personality, but just constantly tried to find ways to upsell! It's not the cost that really upset me but really it was the lack of customer service, her aggressive attitude that pushed my business out the door! It wasn't until I told my friends and family about this horrible experience did I learn that a few of them had similar experience with that Linda girl in the past. Never go there for your nails! Love this place! The staff is super friendly and takes their time to do your nails. My mom gets a message her weekly and comes home so happy and relaxed! Super clean as well always cleaning their products and such. Don't hesitate to make an appointment! Read Less

Mona is such a delight! Very thorough and a fantastic massage. You don't feel rushed at all.  They definitely stress the spa mentality. The semi private rooms for the pedicure are the best, you can actually relax and enjoy. Will definitely be coming back again and again Read Less

Love this place , very clean and great group of girls just not so big on Susan the new owner.  I loved this place when it was run by the old owner as she turned it into a "spa" experience more than your your typical nail salon.  Susan can be rude.  I'm a regular and if I happen to walk in without an appointment, she'll ask what you're there for and if it's just a 'manicure' you're likely not getting it  done because that's exactly what happened with me and she didn't even give me an option of when to return but rather responding we're booked for the rest of the day, please call next time. I don't think I'm VIP or anything but if you're fully booked  like you say you are then don't ask why I'm there because it makes it look like that you will make time for me if I was getting more than a manicure.  It was a huge disappointment but I love the place and will continue to go to Rebecca, kelly and Gina. This place is actually quite nice, very clean and more upscale than some of the other nail places in the area. If they aren't busy, they will give you a brief neck massage after you get your nails done!Two issues that I have had :1. One day I went in to get a gift card and was told that their pedicure price nearly doubled. Another friend went a few days later and was given a different price.2. The other issue I had was when I went to get an eyebrow and upper lip wax. When I got home and had a look, the upper lip wax was not well done. Worst of all, the girl left a dirty wax strip on my tank top. I phoned and was told that if I brought in my shirt they would see what they could do and they gave me some washing instructions, but there was no acknowledgement that their negligence ruined my top. As I was going away, I couldn't bring my top in and now it has a stain on it from the wax.Due to the above issues, I don't plan on going back and haven't been back since the waxing incident in the summer.
