For a short time I was a regular here, for my bi- weekly bio gelFills, polish and design as well as a pedi.I personally found it convenient and the place is very nicely decorated.I personally stopped going here due to the staff members' attitude and personality. I found some to be nice and some of the ladies not so nice, no smiles no small Talk, not personable whatsoever- just awkward angry silence which makes you feel like perhaps your not wanted and your business isn't welcomed. So we I moved on Also, it was commented that they saw me do a yelp check inn at another nailSalon at some point, and that seemed to anger them, as if I wasn't ALLOWED TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE!?! I found An Nam Nails randomly, so I decided to try it. They were wonderful. I keep getting compliments. They did a fun marble pattern to accent my baby blue nails. Definitely worth going in and trying it out for yourself! Read Less

Where do I start? Facility is big and clean as you can see in the pictures. I went in on a Saturday to get a mani pedi. We'll start with pedicure. I wanted French done. Everything very typical except 2 complaints: the cheesegrating process did not remove the dead dry skin on my feet. I usually come out of a pedicure with heels feeling like a baby's bottom. This was NOT the case. My feet felt the same as before..so needless to say, this did not meet my expectations. Second issue: I've had French done in my toes and fingers many times and the y have always been painted with a base pinkish colour. They did not do that here and when I asked I was told that the pink is usually only done on people who have darker or lighter skin tones, whereas my nail was "already a nice colour of pink". Perhaps I should have insisted.... The white tip was done with average skill. So overall, my pedicure was a little disappointing.On to the manicure. I do not have any major concerns here. Typically salons automatically do 2 coats of the colour you pick from my personal experience but in this case I was asked after the first coat if I wanted a second coat. I found this a little odd but I was given a choice so I can't really complain.If just rated on the quality of the mani pedi I received I would only give this place 2 stars. They only really deserve about 2.5. The half star (which rounds up to 3) comes from their loyalty program. If you spend more than $30 in a visit, you get a stamp, and after 10 stamps you get $10 off a service. A little bit of incentive I haven't seen too much of.Pricing was Not the most competitive at $45 for mani pedi combo. Considering they're paying for such a big space, I would allow it. Better than being cramped in some of the small salons downtown. $5 for French, fairly standard.The only reason I would come back is solely because it is very close to home for me. Otherwise I might almost make the trek to North York for my old place before I moved. Read Less

Yesterday I visited the salon for a polish change on my toes and a shellac colour change on my hands. I arrived at 3:30, expecting to be out around 4:00-4:15. After much debate with colour selections, as 5 of the colours I chose they could not accommodate... We proceeded. I was at the salon until 10 to 5. Without a manicure or pedicure. An hour and a half for polish changes. When leaving I shared how disappointed I was especially because my toes, were all different shades of ...pink, and my finger nails are with many parts of my nails uncovered. I have now paid for services that both have to be redone not even a day later. My entire big toe has completely chipped. I am so upset. This salon does not have the expertise to deal with their clients. If shellac colours are unavailable make it know in advance by changing your selection rings. I will not be giving referrals or recommendations to this salon. I am going to try and return today for them to fix their services, and hope they will. I paid $40 for colour changes. Yesterday my daughter Isabella celebrated her 8th birthday with her friends at An Nam Nail &Spa. They are having their first Communion tomorrow so having their nails painted for their big day was the perfect way to celebrate. Alex and his staff were wonderful from playing their favourite songs, to preparing the loot bags and helping me set up. I was able to bring in treats, drinks and food for the girls. I've spent the last couple of years looking for a nail spa that doesn't use harmful chemicals because I am almost guaranteed a headache from the fumes at most places. I am thrilled to have found An Nam. It is open, spacious, zen and without the noxious fumes (apparently, they do not do acrylics and they've upgraded their ventilation). But best of all, the technicians are amazing - genuine and so skillful. I am so glad to have found this place because I can now take my nieces and cousins and not worry about the harmful effects on their health.Pros: Relaxing and non-toxic place, great staff, awesome workCon(s): They've apparently only opened for 3 months but if today is any indication, make sure you book an appointment in advance because it was packed.
