She pays great attention to detail and picks out good colours and makes suggestions for seasonal/new colours, etc. The salon also offers many other services, which I have not yet tried, but can easily be a one-stop beauty shop. I usually come here to get a full set of nails for special occasions. Every visit they amaze me but this last visit has to be the best nails I've gotten in my life! I had acrylic nails put on at another salon and in less than a week I could not take it anymore they felt so uncomfortable.. I called here asked how much to remove and then do a shellac manicure.. Price was given and I went in.. As soon as I walked in the door the greetings from staff was amazing.. I was takien care of in a reasonable time. They removed the nails and gave me a great manicure.. Amazing service all around at Lan Dai Nails & Spa. The staff is always very friendly and does a great job on my shellac manicures, pedicures, and eyebrows. My nails last very long, look flawless and all the staff pays a very close attention to detail. I highly recommend this spa for any service you need! ***update to below: less than a week later and 4 of my nails broke in half. Took them off in excruciating pain (which I have done a million times in the past without pain) only to realize some of my actual nails were filed down almost to my skin! What a disaster! *** Went for a set of acrylic nails for the first time here as there are many good reviews. Unfortunately after having waited 20 minutes and finally getting a seat, my first instinct was not a good one. They are also overcharging for acrylic nails - $30 for standard set and extra charge for longer nails. There are many places in the city that charge 15 to 25, long nails included, but after I had a seat at the table I figured maybe I will at least get what I'm paying for. I asked for long coffin shaped nails at first and then she told me there was an extra charge, so I figured it was not worth it to pay $35 for a set of nails that don't even include a design, just regular nail polish. Then I told the lady to make them a bit shorter to meet the $30 price point, expecting the length to at least go past the end of my finger. To my dismay, she not only cut them shorter than the tip of my finger but made them square shaped (and filed them crooked) because they were that short. She also cut the cuticle on one of my fingers twice making it bleed in two separate areas... Then blamed my cuticle for being too deep resulting in her having to cut it to clean it. Like, excuse me? The least she could have done was apologize. I will never go back here if it means I will be paying for bloody, crooked nails that are overpriced and the same length that I went in with. This is the best place to go for all your routine essentials! Nails, waxing, threading, eyelashes, tinting/extensions/lift, etc., etc.! I have been going here for 2 years and can't go anywhere else! Don't bother researching anywhere else in the area, Lan Dai Nails is the place to go! Lana and her team are professional, precise, clean and very accommodating. I have always left happy and always get asked by Complete strangers and friends where I get my nails done because they are always so perfect! I recommend calling to book an appointment but she is usually very accommodating to walk ins as best as possible. I have been getting gel fills for over 8 years every 2 weeks and it's very nice to be able to confidently walk in, not have to say what I want and to be taken care of every time equally great! I have been a client of the salon since it opened. Lana, the owner, is very pleasant and tries to be accommodating to everyone. They keep up with nail art and colours. Their services are fantastic. Nothing is perfect but this is as close to perfect as you are going to get. I have been to other salons but no matter where I go I continue to come back to this salon.
