Amazing staff. Chrislynn is a wonderful masseuse. Was very disappointed in the service I received yesterday and I didn't even have a massage yet... I was running late (medical reason) and had called to inform them that I would be late. I arrived 15 minutes late to my appointment and the doors where lock and the sign said closed. I had called several times and left messages that I was outside and the doors were locked. On the voicemail it said their hours and that they were open for business and that they should of been open... at the time that I had went. I never received a phone call saying that they would be closing if I didn't not attend my appointment after a certain time. I was finally able to talk to someone later on that afternoon when I had called back and explained why I was late and I apologised because as well. The girl who answered was very unprofessional arguing with me that I was over 20 minutes late and that they waited for me before they locked the doors to close. She also said that it didn't matter my reason why I was late that they wouldn't be able to have a massage anyways. She also said that they run on a tight schedule and that the other girl had to leave. Then I got a phone call from the girl who would be doing the massage and said that she didn't hear about my situation until she had called me to book an other appointment. (This was a couple of hours after I was booked for my appointment.) Her excuse that she didn't get the messages was that the phone ring was on to low so they didn't not hear me calling to tell them that I was waiting out front. I did book an other appointment but I am going to cancel it. Not worth the hour drive to come in and have bad service like this. First impression I would not recommend this place to anybody... I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The staff is extremely nice and make you feel so comfortable. I have done a few sessions of myomassage therapy with Chrislynn and felt amazing afterwords. I highly recommend it. I have also had manicures and pedicures with Katrina and she is very good at what she does. She is an absolute sweetheart as well. You will not be disappointed. Extremely disappointed. I specifically asked for a "registered message therapist" TWICE and was mislead to believe that was what I was getting. I wrote to the Spa on Facebook and was happily given rates and told "Let me know if I can have a massage therapist contact you to book!" I ALSO called and specifically asked if I was getting a REGISTERED message therapist and never once was I told they weren't registered. Just that they are myomassologists and that they are message t...herapists?? To someone who knows nothing about the message therapy world, that sounds like a specialized message therapist. I guess it is my mistake. I should have done my research about myomassologists, they are in fact NOT registered therapists. The reason I am writing this post is to save those the same experience if your benefits plan only covers an RMT, your claim will not be covered. Now I am stuck paying for messages I was lead to believe were from a registered message therapist. I was also told I was going to be refunded by the owner and then she changed her mind, as she felt she did not mislead me. I will also mention, i would have been a returning client but now I feel extremely insulted to have been treated like this. During my conversation on the phone with the owner, It was like I was a crazy person for misunderstanding. When you tell me you are a message therapist and told on the phone that that's what you are getting, you better believe your client will be upset when you aren't covered! All I wanted was a nice message from an RMT. Why couldn't I just have been told clearly NO we are not REGISTERED. I was lead to tears about this experience, and i truly don't appreciate it. I love supporting local businesses! It's really too bad I couldn't have been told clearly they don't have RMTs. 200$ to some people might not be much but to family of 4 just making ends meet, it is a lot of money.
