I love going here but this time was a bit different. My girl was pretty good, though didn't know the colours they had when I was describing what I wanted so I opted for something plain. My experiences with shellac other places have been great, and I have gone 2 weeks without chipping. Unfortunately the tips of my nails were not sealed here and within under a week the polish is chipping away. Though my nails turned out great and the atmosphere is wonderful, I'm not impressed that they are already chipping. My daughter in law and I went for a pedicure on Sunday. When we arrived we were advised that our pedis would be done by students and this would be their final exam....this was not mentioned when my d-I-l called to make our appointment. The owner told us we would be charged a lower price because they were students. We agreed, but felt put on the spot. It would have been nice to be advised of this when the appointment was made. When making the appointment, my d-I-l asked if we could be in and out within an hour as she has a newborn baby to get home to feed. She was assured that we could be. Neither of the students was there when we arrived; both were running late! They were 15 minutes late getting to work and another few minutes setting up to do our pedis. Our pedicures were ok except that even though I had asked if they had disposable flip flops to use before our polish was applied and they said they did, they didn’t attempt to put them on until after our polish was applied and still wet....we ended up putting them on ourselves. In addition, I only got one coat of polish! No one came in to observe the work the students were doing, nor did they even check the quality of the pedi before we left. We were charged $45 each for the pedi....the same price as the February special advertised on the website.....no discount as promised because students did the pedis! My d-I-l called yesterday to provide some constructive feedback and was met with attitude by the owner. She didn’t listen to the issues being shared and cut off the conversation by offering a credit. I live I Ottawa so a credit is not satisfactory and based on our experience and the reaction and attitude of the owner, my d-I-l will not go back and will also share her experience with friends....we’ll never go back!! They are amazing ladies that work there. Dana that does my nails I can't say enough good things about her.  Christine is amazing woman, they all are great women. I just had my nails done here, and am so happy with how they look. Theres not many good options in the thunder bay to terrace bay area especially when you compare the work to Vancouver. Im so glad I chose this place. The owner is so welcoming and my nail tech Sabria did a great job on my fill. I feel like I never left home when i look down at my nails. Read Less

ust called to book two deluxe spa pedicures and at first the conversation went smoothly. I was speaking with a staff member whom I could barely hear. He told me that they had two appointments availble for the day that we wanted so I agreed to book them. He then realized that they didn't have two staff that could do them at the same time so we would have to have them done one after the other. I asked very politely if there were multiple staff members on later that day that could do them simultaneously and he very rudely stated that there were obviously multiple staff on throughout the day but that they were booked. The tone in which he spoke to me caught me completely off guard and was so rude that I simply told him that I did not appreciate being treated this way and that we would go elsewhere. He did not respond to that so I hung up.Frankly, I don't care how great their services are. I refuse to patronize a business that allows their staff to talk to customers this way.SO DISAPPOINTING!
