I got lucky that someone didn't show up to their appointment and they were able to take me as a walk in. During my time there, I found out that they're going through a family emergency and the fact that they stayed open to service the community instead of closing down for a few days or a week truly shows their commitment to their customers. Dylan was so precise in my pedicure! He really took a close look at my feet to make sure that everything was attended to. Que really concentrated while doing my nails, especially when she was drawing on the French. She wanted it to be perfect and asked me a few times if I was happy with them. The staff at diva nails work SO hard. They do an amazing job always. I understand that some people are offended when they get up to do other things or work on other customers, but you are only ever left sitting there when your nails are drying in the machine, a time in which I don’t think it’s necessary for them to be sitting there doing nothing anyway. They all have certain jobs and each do different processes on the customers. Also, some people don’t like that they don’t start much of a conversation. Honestly, I prefer to not talk and just let them do their job, I see nothing wrong with it. Prices do fluctuate, but that is based on whether it’s just an acrylic filling, a repaired nail, a nail design/colour change, etc. I hate to see all of these negative reviews, they do not do diva nails justice! I was a loyal client customer to diva nails for a while, i gave them many chances. and i am not the one to complain but i feel this is necessary because no business should be run this unprofessionally. every time i would get acrylics with shellac it would be a different price,even though the prices were posted in the salon they are very inconsistent which doesn’t make sense because as i said they are POSTED. i felt like maybe they thought they could take advantage of me becua...se im younger. they also dont take thier time to make sure your comfortable or even take time to speak with you or ask your name. they don’t take their time to make sure the shape/length you want is achieved. i even had 3 nail techs work on me in one sitting becuase they get up to do other stuff, one lady went and even took a nap in a room. i find that rediculous and very rude, as i should be the main priority if im paying you. if im spending my hard earned money to be treated like trash , it really makes me upset and regret choosing that place. they also never seat you with your friends or family you come with. I understand the appeal of walk in appointments but my last visit was borderline horrific and I will not be back. Please read this before going! They left me with my hands in acetone for half an hour until my fingers started to burn so I had to take them out myself. Then she glued all of the nail tips to the sides of my skin and painted the shellac on my skin then missed other parts of my nails. She then cut me three separate times, one of the cuts was actually bleeding on to... the table. She pretended like she didn’t see that I was obviously bleeding. The most notable part being that she actually gave me back my file that had blood all over it! Didn’t have the decency to give me a new one. The entire time she was very rude. We scheduled an appointment for 6 inidividuals and they were a half hour late even getting to us. They did not have any kind of conversation with us during our manicures. A few days later when my shellac manicure bubbled and cracked I called and they refused to refund the manicure. They did fix the effected nails and I had slightly better customer service that visit. My sister and I called Diva Nails this afternoon to book an appointment for two pedicures and was told they had nothing available until 430pm. We booked this appointment and showed up roughly 10 minutes early, only to wait until 5pm to actually be seated. We also had two employees ask us what we were there for too before we finally got in. My sister got knicked on the toe and it bled briefly as well. They don't ever engage with you and talk amongst themselves in their langu...age, but most concerning was the lack of sanitizing we noticed as we were sitting there. Nothing was sanitized and not even washed with soap, just rinsed under the sink and used on other women. One of the male employees kept coughing into the air and his hand and didn't wash his hands. Last night when I went in for my appointment I’m always on time or a few minutes early, I end up waiting for some time cause they always seem to over book themselves, I don’t expect much of a conversation from them but a “how are you today” would be nice as I’m always pleasant with the staff, but the women who did my nails last night seemed very distracted by everything and made me bleed multiple times and not once did she go and wash her hands or let me go and wash my hands, it’s not very pleasant going there, but I guess for the price I can’t complain, but still.. there should be a rule- “if we make you bleed, it’s on us” and maybe they wouldn’t be so rough and actually focus on what there doing. Yesterday I went to divas for an appointment I booked. I've gone to divas lots before, so I continue to go back. This time when I went I sat for about 20 min after I asked if I could get my pedi done before my mani. The guy was kinda surprised, even though I told him I was there for both. They had like 4 open chairs and full at the manis. So they got me into a chair. Awesome. They did a great job my feet, I asked for a few leaves on my toes. So the women did amazing on drawin...g the design. She put two maple leaves followed by 5 small regular leaves. I say in the chair drying for about 30 minutes before moving to get my mani. I showed 3 people the kind of design I wanted, which was tip nail and a royal blue colour. 3 different people worked on my hands and I asked them if they all wanted to see the picture again and they said no. When the lady was cleaning my fingers she cut me twice and made me bleed. I didn't hear an apology and literally that's all I need is a simple apologize and continue on. So they started putting on the blue coat that I showed them I wanted and they ended up putting On a lighter baby blue, I asked if it would be darker. She said yes. It didn't darken the way I wanted to... it's nice but not what I wanted. When I got up to pay it was 111.00. I like divas and I think the workers are great. Timeliness was awful. Half hour behind on everything. Massage chair didn't work by the time I got in it. When I adjusted the angle of the chair for my comfort she then readjusted it to her liking. They didn't offer a massage of any kind with the pedicure. Although it's never stated its included its always been provided in other salons. Why this nail place is still open is unbelievable! I did go 3 different times to give it a chance..well 3 strikes your out!! For the 3 visits i had, 2 were the EXACT same services..& was charged 2 different prices? Forget about trying to talk to the young lady taking your $$ as they always seem to send the girl that does not speak or understand a word of english to deal with your payment. Convenient. A bridal party of 4 that was BOOKED to have manicures and pedicures were told to sit and they would be next...just over 2 hours went by & NONE of them had been started..they were angry & said so..it went on deaf ears as they did not get a response from any of the workers..they kept their heads down & ignored them. While i was getting my 2nd service there (simple manicure, but she tried several times to sell me a gel service), i asked to book my daughter in on the up coming Saturday (5 days away) for a spa pedicure anytime after 12:30pm..without even looking at the schedule she said they were booked full that Saturday. So i commented, "what will you do if you have walk-ins"? She did not answer just ignored me. A few minutes later a lady walked in (her 1st time there as she had several questions)..and decided to book a regular manicure with regular polish..for the coming Saturday at 1pm. ?!??! So the girl got up from doing my nails & swiftly jotted her name (Mary) in the schedule book..i quickly commented (in my not so soft indoor voice), You just told me i could not book my daughter in for this Saturday as you were FULLY BOOKED?? She did not turn to look at me but the lady booking the service sure did. I stood up and sure enough the schedule book was not full, 3 bookings in total including "Mary's". Three other ladies were getting services & one waiting..they witnessed the whole thing & were shocked. "Q" did not do a good job of fibbing! I was bewildered as to why she would fib? My 3rd visit (i was desperate as my little one closed a door on my hand accidentally breaking 2 nails) was the last straw. They tried to charge me for a spa pedicure WHEN I DID NOT EVEN SIT IN A PEDICURE CHAIR?! OMG, i said! Are you kidding me? You know i did not get that service done!! I never took my shoes & socks off the 40 minutes i was there! Two elderly ladies agreed out loud as they were there before i walked in!! Seriously ppl!! And the last story, not mine but a relative (a senior citizen)that had i known, i would of steered her clear of this place. Long story short, she had a manicure (no cream or massage afterwards), just a simple coral colored reg polish..a pedicure & eye brow wax. I had a male not sure what his name was. He did an amazing job. I had a Spa Pedicure ( $35 ). He did a base coat, two applications of colour, two top coats. He did massage with foot scrub, hot towel pressure, cuticle and callus cream and exfoliation, the chairs massage, and you soak your feet in water temprature to your preference.
