DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE. This place is horrible, literally the worst manicure I have every gotten. They said it was 20 dollars for shellac manicure but when I was finished they said it was 35 because they cleaned my cuticles. While 'cleaning my cuticles' the man cut my cuticle and it bleed. The man said oops and that was it. The manicure itself is messy and I wish I could get it taken off right away. The place itself is DISGUSTING. It is not sanitary at all and I am afraid of getting an infection from the cut. They should be closed down because of how horrible the conditions are. Do not go here. Read Less

horrible place. they lied on the phone saying that shellac is only 10$. we got there and it was actually 25$. I didn't want a manicure, but she got out tools anyway and accidentally cut me. it is not a clean place, and I was actually worried I'd get an infection. she then continued to pick at where she cut me. After I told her to stop because it hurt. They were also rude to my friend. Overall I will never be going there again and don't recommend it. Its definitely way over price for what you get. There are way cleaner salons, with nicer staff, that do a better job for the same price at other salons around. the shellac also started chipping after 2 days. Very impressed with their work and the end result. You know this place is good when Mimi is taking care of customers herself. Tookir time even though they were busy. Too expensive Rushed the whole process. My nails were still having acrylic applied while the other hand was being painted ny another employee... my nails were crooked, thick and uneven in length. I got a flat color and short nails. Should be easy for $48. Th acrylic at the cuticle base looked like I was due for a fill when I walked out the door. I do not recommend this place to anyone. They all do the best job they possibly can, they squeeze you in if you show up last minute if they can, and they always go out of their way to make sure that you're included in conversation and that you leave happy. I went here for the first time a couple weeks ago to get a manicure and pedicure before my birthday. I booked an appointment and they took me right away. Not all of the massage chairs had a remote and since they were busy that day it seemed to be a game of musical chairs to make sure everyone got a working remote. My pedicure was okay. My manisure on the otherhand was horrific. The lady made me remove my own nail polish? Never has this happened to me before. She also didn't do a very good job cleaning up my cuticles and she cut me. The paint job wasn't good either, I wanted an ombre/ gradient glitter effect and it just looked like the glitter was painted on by someone who wasn't paying attention. My friends at my birthday couldn't believe I paid a professional to paint my nails, as they said I could do better myself. She also charged me an extra 2 dollars for something, not exactly sure what, but she said it would make my manicure last longer and it didn't. It chipped within a day or two when I can usually go a week with regularly painted nails. I give 2 stars only because the lady who did my nails was friendly and we had some good conversation. This doesn't make up for the poor job on my nails though and I'll be looking elsewhere for a mani/ pedi next time in the St. Catharines area. Read Less

Went to MiMi nails for the 1st time yesterday. Long did a full set of Gel nails and Shelac on top. A little more pricey then I was expecting but he did a good job, was kind and chatty. I came in almost at closing time and I was not rushed out. The salon was a little dusty, but I was the last customer of the day and I give them the benefit of the doubt. I'd go back. Read Less

After having eyelash extensions properly installed, I now understand that what happened to me at Mimi Nails was absolutely horrific. She tugged, and pulled my eyelashes, and my bottom eyelid became irritated after application. She never asked me how long I'd like them, just did the standard glamour size WHICH was too heavy for my eyelashes and yes, they did all eventually fall out, and yes, I looked like a troll with no eyelashes for 6 MONTHS! No only were they too heavy, but the over all placement was just so, so wrong. They crossed over , the glue was sticking to other lashes due to excessive amount being applied, and it felt like they were constantly tugging. If you want eyelash extensions, do not go here.
