This is my thirst visit to this spa. I love the way they do everything so clean, file and buffer are sterilized that I never got before from other salons (for over 15 years having my nails done). Excellent service always! I've been there a few times and have always walked out happy. Took my stepdaughter today and James did her nails. They are beautiful! I would like to start off by saying that I recently moved to the area and that this was my fifth time visiting Martindale Nail Spa. Up until today I thought the place did a lovely job with nails and customer service. Today was a whole different experience. The shellac application was uneven rather than smooth and on some nails the shellac doesn’t go all the way to the base of my nails. When I mentioned that I wasn’t happy with the way my nails were looking, he (not James, another man) offered to touch them up; he filed my nails and applied another layer of shellac making them look even worse. The overall job looks sloppy and feels super lumpy when I run my fingers over my nails. I was there 2 hours as he kept trying to salvage the hack job. I expressed at the end of the service that I was still not pleased with my nails appearance and nothing was done other than the utterance of an awkward 'sorry'! Sorry, I won't be returning. I do not recommend the waxing. There was no attention to detail, no plucking, only waxing and the shape was awful. No pre or post creams used. She ripped my skin on my bows and has caused scabs on my lids and nose. Read Less

Today was my first visit here. James did an excellent job on my nails and he was very meticulous in making sure they were the right shape and of equal length. I have never experienced as much care and pride from any other salon Ive been to. Everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and inclusive. I've had my nails done at many places at it never lasts for more than a couple of days (even with shellac). I came here with a group of friends before my wedding and we not only had a great time but my nails have now lasted for over a week with no sign of chipping or peeling. Love this place... always an amazing job done!! My shellac manicure lasts 3-4weeks and the designs are fabulous.The spa is warm and inviting, I have never gotten an infection..tools are always cleaned properly and the staff are phenomenal by far the best! Hands down (pun intended) the only place I trust with my manicure and pedicure needs. All of the staff are extremely friendly, gentle, courteous and a pleasure to be around. I've never left unsatisfied and I am very picky with what I expect. Call to book ahead as they are generally booked up but that's completely understandable since the service and outcomes are awesome. I hate that I have to give it a 3 for a review:( The staff was so kind and welcoming and easy to talk to. But my mother and I never get out and very rarely have extra money to treat ourselves and we were so excited to go for Mani & pedis. That location is clean and welcoming, The staff are spectacular. However my overall experience was quite poor and very disappointing. my pedicure was interrupted multiple times so that the technician could go do someone elses service becau...se they were a regular. The entire experience felt completely rushed. when I finally got the opportunity to get my manicure started the technician was in the middle of my polish when yet again another regular pointed out that she had to return to work in a half an hour and required an entire manicure and shellac... The rest of my polish was rushed and the leopard print turned out quite disappointing. My mom was so excited that she had saved up the money so that I could get the design done on my nails (The only reason we could afford the mani/pedi were because we had a gift certificate) it was really saddening when I had to tell her that I was disappointed with how they turned out and that I felt awful she paid and I wasn't even happy.
