I’ve been in a lot of trade secrets but this is the worst. I went there to do eyebrows and upper lip. it was the end of the day already so i understand that they just wanna go home but the service that i got was terrible. when i walked in the lady was just using her phone and when she did my brows and upper lip she looked pissed and i ignored that the first time but she almost ripped my upper lip when she pulled the wax. I even shout “ouch” and didn’t even care didn’t even say sorry. We argued a little but she insisted that as if i don’t know what i’m doing. And she wasn’t even gentle with me she was using the tweezer like she was digging something on my brows so when i finished my brows were really red and painful. It was the first time that i felt that painful on waxing. I never write a review to anything even the experience wasn’t good. this is the first. this is unacceptable. would never go back on this location would never even recommend id rather go far than this location. the management has to do something with this kind of service. Most Trade Secrets locations offer simple services like haircuts, threading, and waxing in their open concept shop. I was recommended by a friend to get threading here by Shazia, and nobody else (she claims the other staff aren't as skilled...). So far I've been satisfied and prices are reasonable. Because of the open concept, I would never ask for services that require me to lift my shirt or anything of the like, so be warned - there is no room in the back or anything! I've seen on weekends there's a lineup for tinting, waxing, and related services for eyebrows and the like, so call to book an appointment early, especially if you’re looking for Shazia. Overall, products are pricier but there are some personal care products you can't find elsewhere in your Wal-Mart or Shoppers. I recently purchased nail polish from here since I couldn’t find it elsewhere, and unfortunately the bottle was tested and I had to put in tons of extra effort to get it open because the inconsiderate person who tested the bottle left the polish all over the rim. I just came back from getting my eyebrows waxed here and I feel as though the service I received here was completely unacceptable. When I got to the store, the girls working there were just sitting and gossiping. I asked to get my eyebrows waxed, and a lady named Maza I believe was the one who was going to be doing it. When she came to do my eyebrows, she continued to gossip loudly with her coworkers, and I felt as though she was barely paying attention to me. There were quite a few times when I saw that she wasn't even looking at what she was doing. She was putting the wax strips on my face while still looking at her coworkers who were behind us. She wasn't even attempting to be gentle with me. Surely enough, my skin was ripped off under my left eyebrow, and it feels pretty painful. Right after she waxed my eyebrows, I was able to feel that my skin was ripped off, and I brought it to the attention of Pegah, the woman working at the cash register, and all she said was that she did not see anything. I had to ask her to grab me some aloe to put on it. When I got home I was able to clearly see where my skin had been ripped off. I feel as though the staff at that location are lacking good customer service. I walked out of the store and the mall feeling incredibly unsatisfied. Both times I visited recently led to horrible experiences. The first was in the summer when I asked if they did waxing and they said yes, so I assumed it would be in private (out of view of customers) but no it was right in the shop they just made me lift up my shirt to do my underarm and arm wax. Very embarrassing. The second time was a few days ago when I went to get my upper lip threaded. The lady was so rude! She started on my lip very hard, and didn't powder it or clean it to make it easier. Then I squirmed and moved my head slightly which would only occur naturally and she didn't finish and went to the pay counter. I had to yell across the room and be like you left a lot of hairs, and she blamed it on me saying I moved. I showed her multiple times where the hairs were and she claimed she couldn't see them even though it was very obvious. Now my upper lip is very cut up and there's a huge mark right under my nose. Worst trade secrets ever !!!!Booked with them twice on a Saturday for hair and BOTH times I showed up with the owner lady telling me her stylist called in sick. She also claims she called but my phone was off or I didn't leave my number ..when I showed her the number which was right next to my name.. She said since her English isn't good she didn't know that was my cell phone number. Zero sympathy, remorse or care.behind me was another lady who also did not get a call and lady at reception also claimed the customer didn't leave her number when she booked. Once she realized the lady behind me is actually their regular client .. She changed her story and said she wasn't sure which number was hers. Even tho the lady repeated herself by saying "you had the right number when I owed a balance" This was once for a bday party and once for a bridal shower. Extremely unprofessional. Worst experience ever.They will also ignore you until you walk up to them after waiting for a while and if they are busy; they aren't afraid to tell you that. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICESTAY AWAY !!!! I just left this store with an item that my wife purchased within their 14 day exchange policy. It is a Croc straightening iron. The spring inside of it does not work and the unit it defective. I initially entered the store sure that it would just be a straight exchange and I would be on my way with another unit within minutes. Unfortunately that was not the case. I was told that they needed to call head office on Monday to verify the policy. It clearly states on their bill that within 14 days. The unit could be exchanged or a credit would be issued. So to me, if this was not a question of warranty, which it clearly is, then I should be able to exchange the unit for another. Not the case. No exchange because it is defective and no immediate warranty because... I truly still don't know. So I left the store completely frustrated that they would one circumstance to disallow an exchange and another circumstance to disallow warranty. All in all, I would not spend another penny in this place and I suggest that others read this before they decide to as well. I truly found the staff member to be so uninterested in serving me as a customer and just kept on trying to stone wall the issue. She pulled out a calendar 3 times to count whether or not it had been within the 14 day exchange. Counted and then counted again while I waited for this nonsense. I truly hope that I or anyone else never has the opportunity to interact with this woman. Her name is Ana and if Trade Secrets plans on keeping her as an employee, good luck to them. This was truly one of the worst experiences that I have encountered in a retail environment and I hope that others have the opportunity to learn from me and stay away from Trade Secrets!! Read Less
