Would give zero if it were possible. The electric nail file was used on my nails way too much (see picture for aftermath) to the point where my nails are as thin as paper and as painful as you can expect. Asked for one type of nail and wasn't listened too so given another. My nails are ruined. I never usually have extensions on my nails but wanted to treat myself. So i went in asking for uv gel nails. I had no idea what gel nails looked like, the only thing i knew was that they are better for your nails than acrylic.The tech starts off by putting the brush in a clear liquid, then a powder, and putting that on my nails. The product dried very fast on my nails and it looked matte. After it dried, she put this other liquid like substance on my nails and put my hand in a uv lamp. This is where I made a mistake. I should have googled this before getting my nails done. When you ask for gel nails, thats what you should get, GEL ON YOUR NAILS. Not powder and a gel cover on top. Gel does not dry on your nails without a uv lamp. I HAD NO IDEA. THIS LADY CHARGED ME FOR GEL NAILS, BUT I ACTUALLY GOT ACRYLIC NAILS WITH A GEL OVERLAY which is the exact same thing as regular acrylic nails.And since nobody in that salon speaks english, I have no idea how to go back and explain this to them. DO NOT GO HERE! TERRIBLE. They rushed me, and I expressed that my fake tip looked partially off. 2 weeks later, I come to find out that I have FUNGUS. Also, terrible customer service. In their store, the customer is always WRONG, and employee's are always RIGHT. They have unclean utensils, which is also the leading cause of fungus. Never again. Read Less

I'm extremely disappointed how this place of business is run and it's such a shame because I discovered it using a Groupon for eyelash extensions and was a returning customer because of what a great job Joanne did. I don't even live in Richmond Hill I drive 30 minutes from Newmarket to have her do my fills and at this point I don't know if I will be returning. I have had 2 other friends purchase the Groupon after seeing how fantastic mine look, of course I've recommended the same woman and so far have had poor experiences all around. The second time I went and paid full price for a fill with an appointment made with Joanne I was rushed into a room and another woman started doing mine while friend number 1 was taken into another room, not with Joanne either. There's an obvious language barrier so I took it as a misunderstanding and assumed that Joanne wasn't there. That is until my phone rang during my fill because I was being called to see where I was for my appointment when I clearly stated I had made one on arrival. Friend number one was left in the room with no instruction and not having eyelash extensions done before didn't have a great experience as there was no communication. My eyelashes looked fine when I left but barely lasted 2 weeks because there was so much glue added on that chunks of the fill were coming out and the sizes were uneven. I booked another fill with Joanne during a slower time when I knew she would be there and left completely satisfied after she had to spend 45 minutes raking of chunks of glue out. Friend number 2 purchased the Groupon called to advise she had one and made an appointment with Joanne only to find out when she arrived early that Joanne wasn't allowed to do the Groupons? Friend 2 cancelled the Groupon as there's nothing stated in the fine print other than to advise of the discount when calling for an appointment, and I had originally had my Groupon filled with Joanne. I doubt either of my girlfriends will return and due to this negative experience I'm seriously contemplating whether I will. Joanne if you read this please do my eyelashes elsewhere if you're interested, your kind demeanor and amazing skills should be utilized elsewhere where you wouldn't even need a Groupon to build clientell. Been here once. manicure was ok and the lady was but for the shellac the only use CND for the nail polish coat the bottom and top coats are not CND and regular gel. My nail heads are already wiped after a week :/ Read Less

This is the WOOORST place the employees are incredibly rude and won't stop speaking in their language and it's very uncomfortable while working on your and constantly making comments the only friendly one is the owner. The employees are very hostile and not professional they seem to change their prices too I've visited more than 3 times and was charged 5$ more for the exact same service the second time and back to my original pricing as he first time on my 3rd visit , I know not to go there again because they're very judgemental and keep speaking in Vietnamese whenever you chose a colour or ask for a certain style I would not recommend this place unless you book an appointment with the owner Read Less

I wish I could give this place zero stars!! I treated my mom to a manicure when this place first opened! It was horrible from start to finish. The man doing the manicure(no pun intended) was rude and barely spoke to my mom. The worst part was the owners had their little girl running around and she kept poking all of the customers with her doll. She was too young to know better, but her parents did not stop her!   My mom decided to give this place another chance and made an appointment. When she arrived, she was made to wait ONE HOUR past her appointment time, as the manicurist was working on a woman who was very demanding and then wanted her friends to all have manicures. Instead of telling her that she had another appointment, the manicurist did the manicures.   This place has ZERO customer service. I am shocked that it is still in business, as it does not deserve to be. Go there if you want a terrible manicure and be treated horribly! Read Less

After being given the gift of a day off today I took it upon myself to have a "Kris day." Yes fellas we can comfortably have these kinda days as well. I slept in, went to the gym, did groceries and loaded my iPhone with new tracks. But with all this me time I needed a little more so I decided that my well worn feet deserved some long overdue TLC. Driving north on Yonge just past Elgin Mills in Richmond Hill, I remembered that there was a nail salon in the Longos plaza so I pulled in to investigate. I was totally shocked and thankful that at 6:45pm on a weekday Nails For You was open and well staffed. I walked in and was greeted by the familiar "hay how aw yoi" of the staff in perfect unison. (I swear the greeting must be part of nail salon training because every salon I've been to has it down pat). It didn't look any different from the countless other places is visited for a pedicure but the one distinguishing factor was their fancy looking new massage chairs. Extremely comfortable and the massage felt lost a good as the rel thing. Although the one rolling massage ball that kept poking me in my backside every 2-3 minutes was a little... Outside my comfort zone!?My esthetician Tracy was awesome. Gentle and professional. I recommend you ask for her if you make an appointment. Oh and the calf and foot massage at the end? To die for. My eyes actually got heavy near the end!!Pedicure was also $25. So sits at industry standards! Read Less
