The person who worked on my nails was kind of rough, they cut my finger with the sanding tool. All the shapes were different, some totally lopsided. i did not enjoy my experience. while i was there, another customer at the salon was also unhappy with her nails. when both of us explained why we were unhappy with the finished result, the staff didn't care. (we also voiced things prior to the man finishing our nails and he didn't listen and continued to talk over her and i) the place was VERY rushed and unorganised. they filed both index fingers and middle fingers on both hands crooked. got nail polish all over my fingers, and unfortunately sanded (with the sponge buffer) my pinky and cut me. my shellac look sloppy. i will not go back here. Really like the Allure Nail Bar. The variety of pedicures are beyond compare to the other nail places in Burke area. I'm happy to pay a little bit more for the cleanliness and amazing selection of colors. I always see Cindy ( formally with My Nails ) she always does a great job and especially does fantastic freehand art on my big toe. Destroyed my nails, made it super soft, barely speak english and also rude. I wouldnt go back there, going somewhere else! The facilities were clean but how they did my nails were cheaply done, the nail polish I paid over 28 dollars were not worth the money I am going to BBB and ask for a refund. Read Less

I probably wouldn't give this place any stars, I stopped in after work to get my nails done and there was only one other person there so I figured it'd be quick, anyways when I got there the owners daughter came running up and clung to my leg as I tried to sit down, when I took my ring off she took it and started hiding it places (I got it back and put it away) she then went through my purse and the owners didn't do anything.. she was crying the whole time and pulling my hair and poking my face. Not to mention the nails, 7/10 of my nails ended up bleeding, he was really rough with my hands and didn't even throw out the nail file after my blood got on it which I'm worried about now because who else has that happened with ??? Anyways I paid and then she asked me for a tip. my nails actually look horrible too, I'll never go to Kathleen's again. Not even worth my money. Read Less

I would not normally do this but this place is appaling. Angry service (the male was screaming at a customer when I arrived), my pedicure was terrible, I literally could have done a better job myself. Then she waxed my armpits! This is why I'm writing a review. I told her to lay the wax on my skin in the same direction of hair growth and pull in the opposite direction (correct way - I have been waxing for 10 years). She decides to do it the opposite and goes over it aggressively several times. Burned my skin pretty badly, was extremely aggressive and BIZARRE. Bordering on sadistic. Was basically laying on top of me saying 'you come back, you come back ok'. All the while I am telling her no, you did a terrible job. She wanted to wax my upper lip, haha! If I could give no stars I would.I went in for a gel fill and toe nail polish change.Worst experience having my nails done, ever!We were rushed, the man doing my fill used acrylic but said it was gel. (as my friend got acrylic Befor me and he used the same powder)He over grinded my natural nail to the point of pain, which I have never had happen. My middle nails were full replacement and now are in alot of pain, from being over grinded as well as acrylic, not the gel I'd asked for and for which I was charged.The paint job is poor at best. (A single thin coat blue tips with an extreamly shaky silver line)My toe nail polish was blue with silver tips and is extreamly shaky as well by another employee.I was charged for a gel fill ....$25 (recevied acrylic $20 cost)Polish change ....$10Design on hand...$5Design on toes.... $5 (which she forced on me)Total $57I will not return, will not recomend. And I am so thankful I didn't get my eyebrow wax as planned or a full set of nails that I can only predict would all be in pain.I was charged for designs when I wanted a simple line across my nail.They took alot of walkins when we got there, which we took as a good sign that it must be a popular shop. Not too impressed. Paid $35 for a set of gel nails. Not only was the whole process rushed but my nails do not look great. The side walls had gel on them they did not apply the gel evenly on the entire nail. The gentleman who did my nails was bouncing between myself and three others so I can only imagine what their nails look like. They did not file my natural nail down and on my one thumb my natural nail was not attached to the nail tip so when it separated there is now a visible air bubble. Will not be returning there.
