For the second time now I have made an appt for a quick eyebrow wax to fit in the visit around a busy schedule. Both times I sat and waited to the point that I ended up leaving. Why make an appt when they are going to make you wait like a walk in client anyway? I thought the first visit may have been a one off so I would try a second chance. Terrible idea. When I asked how much longer I was going to have to wait he looked at me like I had 3 heads, and asked 'like 5 minutes'? After literally just having sat down with someone starting her nails. Cute salon. Only 2 owners. So appointments are hard to get in and they are very rushed. I got arcylic nails done and he was so rough that it left my nails sore. When i asked how much it would cost she said $30 when it actually ended up costing over $50. I won't be going back. Read Less

BEWARE! I wish I'd done my research before I wasted my money here. I went to have UV Gel nails put on, which really ended up being "powder gel" aka Acrylic nails. He used an e-file on my natural nails to roughen them up when any decent nail tech will tell you that an e-file should NEVER be used on natural nails, only on the acrylic! The monomer is in an unmarked jar, so god only knows what kind of material it is (please research MMA!) My nails started lifting within a week and within 2 weeks every single one was lifting; up to half the nail on some! He of course tried to tell me that was normal (FYI, IT'S NOT!) When I complained and made them remove them, he just pried them all off which takes a layer of the natural nail with it, then was about to use the e-file AGAIN on my poor damaged natural nails. I walked out at that point as I was beyond furious. Here's the BIGGEST problem: they don't use sterilized tools! He was using an emory board that looked like it had been used on no less than 10 other people. They have the bits for the e-file (covered in dust from other people's nails) and used orange sticks just sitting on their workstations waiting for their next uneducated customer (seriously, they have nail polish on them - it couldn't be more obvious!) This is a great little spot for guys (and gals) to get a manicure or a pedicure. The business is owned and operated by a husband and wife team since in a very clean and newly renovated space with parking available at the back off of George Street. They are very professional and safety oriented to our local health unit codes. Their prices are comparable to their competition. Although Signature Nails will absolutely accommodate walk-ins, I would strongly recommend an appointment. Enjoy the massage chair and relax! Read Less
