I've gone to this salon on three different occasions. ---The first time, I went to get acrylic nails that were very well done by Amy the owner. Loved them. From the service side, I was disappointed because I don't like it when the nail tech doesn't pay 100% attention to the customer. She started speaking in her language to another employee there every now and then. Then, I realized she was almost training the other employee at doing nails, and was explaining how she was doing it. At first that wasn't too bad, but then after 30 min, it seemed as if she paid no mind to me and just forgot that I was a person, not just a pair of hands, so she offered no conversation or involved me in any way-- nothing. I was happy with my nails, so in the end, I wasn't mad. It's just not ideal, from a service perspective. ---I went in a second time, and got Mel. She is amazing! I told her I didn't have much time for a full acrylic nail process, and we came up with a short cut that looked just like the full 1hr process. She went straight at it, no distractions, and my nails were perfect! She made my day--basically week, because she was so careful and quick. No cuts, perfect coating, and exact shape I wanted. I would choose her again and again!---The third time I came to get an upper lip wax, and got Amy. She was quick and the wax they use is really effective. It's the first time the wax works so well on me. It was a bit messy, some got on my nose, but I didn't mind because she got it off before it dried. She was running behind on her last appointment, so I had to wait for about 5-7 min. And before being done with me, she went up to talk to a customer that walked in to the office. I wondered that why with such a quick procedure, she wouldn't just finish with me first and then go see the other customer, or had an extra employee to take care of the front. Oh well, it wasn't a big deal-- just not ideal. A tip if you're getting this done is you should wipe some alcohol on your upper lip every night to avoid little bumps or redness.---All around good place, just not too high on customer service. And I've noticed the bedding area is not always very clean or has any place to leave your purse or jacket while you get something done. Read Less

Just got a facial for the first time And it was more than I could of imagined. Their esthetician Terrha Garza was incredible. She made me feel so at home, the environment and overall vibe put me in such a peaceful state of mind. I forgot where I was for a moment and was completely relaxed from head to toe. I am SO excited that I found G-Spot salon! I recently moved to Austin and have been searching high and low for a Dominican hair stylist for my relaxer and Dominican blow out needs (I'm very picky about this because I also prefer a roller set and then a blow dry. I'm from New York where Dominican salons are everywhere, which I knew wouldn't be the case in Texas). I called Marilyn (the salon owner) and she was so friendly and accommodating when helping me to make my appointment with her Dominican stylist Berquis. The salon itself is so cute, relaxing and well decorated. Berquis did an amazing job--she is an absolute godsend because my hair was in dire need of a relaxer as well as a trim. Although I live in South Austin and the salon was a bit of a drive for me, it was totally worth it. I look forward to my next appointment! Read Less

Amy, the owner of the salon is amazing- pays great attention to detail and is efficient. Overall was happy with the service. Came here for a mani+pedi with a friend and we found the quality of the actual mani/pedi to be very good. Rates were reasonable and I felt the staff were friendly and professional. The only mark I have is that they encouraged us to leave almost as soon as were done convincing us that our nails were hard and we were ready to put our shoes on. Despite our concerns, we followed their advice and no surprise our polish got messed. One of us had time to go back to get it fixed, but my schedule wouldn't allow me to go back. The first experience was amazing. Marilyn takes you on schedule and gets you in and out. I love that you get personal attention when you schedule an appointment. She takes the time to ask questions and identify your needs. She created a hair plan for me and schedules my hair care 2-3 months out so that I don't have to think about it. Oh this place is amazing! A salon that has it all. Miss G. Is knowledgeable, friendly and funny, highly skilled, and owns this gorgeous salon off Mays Street in Round Rock. The atmosphere in this place is amazing, Ms.G did mine and my friends hair for prom and neither of us have ever been able to get our hair to stay curled, but when woke up the next day my hair is still curled and amazing. Our makeup was amazing as well. I made my appointment very last minute and Ms.G basically saved my life and worked me in at the perfect time. I will definitely come here again for future events.
