I used to live in Findlay Creek and would come here often so this is not a review based on a one time visit. This is based on numerous visits. The woman that manages this place, I think her name is Julie, needs a course in customer service and how to speak respectfully. She's rude, brash and rushed me more than a couple of times when I had an appointment. She speaks in a very sharp and rude way in front of other customers which is quite belittling. I now live in toronto and you'd expect that treatment in a bigger, busier city, not in Ottawa, but the place I go to here goes out of their way to tell me to take my time and relax. One time I came to Diamond Nails when I needed to get my nails done for my wedding with my mum to have a relaxing time, she spoke to us in a very impatient manner. But I didn't say anything then. I thought it might be a tough day. I've worked in the service industry and it's difficult to always be patient. But this woman specifically was like this on multiple occasions. I went back again after that, and this was the last time because she greeted me with the same impatience and rudeness. At that time I told her off and told her this was my experience frequently, specifically with her. I asked her for the name of the owner to make a complaint, she said it was her aunts shop. Makes sense why she acts that way and is still working there. If it was someone else she would have been let go because of her lack of respect for certain customers. The work they do is average and their prices are medium to higher compared to other places in the city. They might charge that much because they're the only salon in Findlay Creek. But after my experiences I'm never going back there again. Read Less

I’ve been to this location several times and have not had any complaints till today. Yesterday I walked in and requested a pedicure and then a manicure. I wish they had told me they didn’t have enough time for me instead of fitting me in. I have no complaints about the pedicure but the manicure left my nails looking like this. I’m not sure you can tell from the picture but some nails have deep gouges in the nail bed from the drill bits. Very unhappy with the service and I can’t even cover up the unsightly white marks the drill left on my nails with nail polish as I work in Healthcare. Read Less

sadly disappointed with my nails I have gotten my nails done here many times and have always been very happy with their work. Unfortunately today I am beyond disappointed with the outcome of my nails today. I got a French manicure that is very uneven and parts of my nail don't even have polish on them & the French tip looks like I did them myself.Normally I would just go back and get them fixed but unfortunately I made an appointment because I was on a time crunch & don't have time to go back. Nothing is sanitized. DO NOT GO HERE. The man who did my nails used old files and buffers and did not clean the clippers of drill bits at all, not even a swipe of alcohol. Foot spa tubs are drained and rinsed but not cleaned. The gel polish is streaky and clumpy on my nails and I actually had to go home and do a glitter coat to cover up how bad they look.
