Their receptionist wasn't very friendly though. She kind of made me feel out of place, like I shouldn't have asked questions. She was also impatient.

First experience was great [pedicure and acrylic nails]. Second experience, not so much. I went in for a fill on my acrylics, but when the lady took the polish off, she basically broke the nail off away from my cuticles and made it seem like if she just did a fill it wouldn’t hold and they wouldn’t last. Because one of my past nails broke at the end, she said I’d have to pay to have that fixed, plus the ones she just broke, and then the $22 fill. Long story short, she said she couldn’t do a fill [which I’ve had done the same way elsewhere and there was never an issue], so I had to pay for a new full set at $30 and then an additional $10 because she took off my old acrylics.. so I went in expecting to pay $20 and left paying $45 including tax without a tip. Needless to say I wasn’t impressed with that, but then as the lady is doing my nails, she’s yanking and pulling on my arms, buffing my nails and cutting into my cuticles, there’s bubbles in the polish on every finger nail, and the nails aren’t even the same length. It’s been like 3 hours since I got them done and my nails actually hurt because of the way she took the acrylics off, over buffed them to the point where it felt like she was cutting through my own nail, and was really rough with the whole process. The only thing I like is the colour, which is unfortunate seeing as I had a decent, but long, first experience. Just depends who you get as to how your experience will pan out, I guess.

When I walked in this bar it was nice and clean. I wanted my brows tinted and after making me wait for 10 minutes, they began discouraging me. They said my skin was oily and because I'm darker, I would have to get black tints. I told them I still wanted it done. They left me in the room for 15 minutes and another girl entered. She also discouraged me from getting them done. She said that the tint was pointless to get. I was furious because I know girls way darker than me who get their eyebrows tinted. Not only that, but why make me wait for so long? I went across the street and got them done just fine. I'm not sure if the know what they're doing but, if you are the same colour as Kerry Washington, DO NOT GO HERE!! This was just my experience. I don't want to bash but, I left upset and embarrassed so, I hope you all heed this warning before you go.

I recently got my nails done here yesterday for attending a wedding this weekend. I was a walk in client asking for shellac Acrylic nails. The lady who did my nails was the receptionist off and on. She kept getting up to answer phones and talking to other people in the mist of working on my nails. Verses other nail technicians whom were actually staying with their clients and taking their time. It was a very distracted/rushed job, she was not gentle and when I asked for certain colors, they were not available. (At least check to see if its available when someone asks for the color). I unfortunately had to choose a different color that was last resort. My nails look great and I am satisfied...but service was absolutely horrible! I'll be thinking of who to book with at TK Nails next time I'm there just not with her.

Always have the best experience whenever I come to TK nails, and it's nice because the good experience isn't only with one girl, all the women who work there are amazing. Best nail salon I've found in a long time. Clean, professional and great at the work they do. The only unsatisfactory thing is that the wait time is quite a long time sometimes so definitely would recommend making an appointment instead of doing a walk-in!

Got my nails done there today. Just moved to Oshawa and this is the second place I tired. I am in love with my nails!
I called ahead (about 2 hours) for an appointment and had to wait a bit but it was okay. The girl took her time with my nails and was very nice. They look fabulous and the quality is very good. Also the price was perfect, they didn’t charge extra for anything! I got a UV Gel fill with Shellac on top and it was $35 (which is normal, anything more is overpriced).
Overall- nice environment, nice staff, great quality, and amazing price! Very happy and this will be my new go-to nail salon!

Worst experience ever. They first told us it was a 20 minute wait we ended up waiting for over 40 minutes. Next my nails are a disastrous mess. I did gel nails and the lady mis glued one of my nails which is causing bruising now and hurts and I can't take it off. I think i might have to go to the emergency room as i feel like its cutting off blood circulation to my finger. My nails are the ugliest it's ever been and I get gel nails done like every month. It's chunky and crooked and just a hot mess. EVERYONE STAY AWAY WORST NAIL SALON EVER. Also it is such a dirty place I will NEVER go back there.

This place is really overcharged they charge me an extra five dollars for the shape of my nails which I've never in my life paid for the shape and I've been doing my nails for like 8 years. I asked her how much was chrome and it was $25 and most shops I've been to it was 10 on top of your bill.in total I ended up spending $35 plus tax which came out to 40 and I've never paid that much for my nails and usually the prices are flat rate and they don't add tax. One thing I I can say is that the girl who did my nails really took the time to make it look good. the shape was done very well all the nails are the same size and length

First experience was great [pedicure and acrylic nails]. Second experience, not so much. Best nail salon I've found in a long time. Clean, professional and great at the work they do. The only unsatisfactory thing is that the wait time is quite a long time sometimes so definitely would recommend making an appointment instead of doing a walk-in!
