I love everything about luxor! They accommodate you even if it's a last minute booking. The staff really knows what they're doing and respect what you ask for. The owners and staff are genuinely kind to everyone that walks in through the door and spend that time creating relationships with their clients if you're willing. All of that really create a wonderful atmosphere there and you can tell everyone enjoys their work! It is so clean, and my Manis and pedis are always so good. They have every shellac colour and if you use IBD (I think it's called that) the shellac lasts a month! I have gone to so many spas over the years but I'm so lucky and happy to have found them. I made this account specifically write a review about this place. I've been in this place on two occasions both times I left without getting anything done and very disappointed. I've been in just to get my set removed and was turned away because they would rather take other clients who were getting more services done. The second time I went in I showed the lady a picture of what I wanted. She agreed to do it. Almost mid way through the manager informs me that it was going to cost me more money because of the style I was doing. There were no prices posted at the time. And I was not made aware of additional costs initially. They then removed what they had done and insisted on charging me for the removal of nails. I get my nails done weekly and I've never experienced such poor customer service anywhere else. I do not recommend this place. Read Less

I've been going here for the past 12 years since I was 15 years old, they always treated you like you are welcome there with open arms. You come in, pick a color and have a seat and watch a movie, let them do the work. Over the years, they've hired some girls (or elderly ladies) who are not able to have any communicative interaction with the clients, without being able to listen and understand the customer's needs, how can you deliver the customer what they request? For my engagement party, I went with a picture of the nail design I wanted and showed it to them and verbally told them, they said no problem have a seat. 2 hours later, I had pale nails of all different shapes and sizes... not to mention, for a shellac manicure, she did not follow the regular protocol, I had my hand dipped in acetone? Where is my foil wrapped finger tips?The owner Maria got a little overwhelmed as people were becoming aware and screamed out 'what do you expect from us, it's not our problem you're not happy'.12 years relationship with this nail salon...over without any discussion. I've been here few time. I didn't like the fact they criticize other nails salon when the lady was removing my bio gel nails. I don't get why they do this. Cuz it's not gonna make me go to them regularly. They are over priced. And always have habit of speaking to their colleagues in their language. Further more last time I was there, they did a sucky job on my French bio gel nails. Lady said it looked ugly cuz my nails are yellow. Advised her it's cuz of Hannah applied. She brushed me off. Further more I would not suggest no one to go here. They suck at doing your eyebrows. All they know how to do his pluck; which is very painful. They don't know how to use thread. Very unprofessional. This was my first visit to this salon as it is close to my place and the review sounded good. I am not a regular mani-pedi person and decided to try it out as was attending a close friend's wedding today. Made an apt for 10-.30 on Sat morning, got there on time but was made to wait 15mins. I did not mind the wait and the mani/pedi were nice, nothing special.However the attitude of the staff is really bad, very biased towards those who come in all dressed up and those like me who need to get things done and are in tracks and a t-shirt. The lady next to me was there for a pedi - she had one 2 weeks prior and it looked great but she wanted a different colour. She was treated great. Me, just out the shower and trying to juggle kids activities and mine, got an ok job, little attention and when my mani was done, the lady just placed a little fan in front of my nails and walked away. She then sat eating a sandwich and did not bother even coming by to check my nails. Its only when I got up and said I was leaving, she came to claim the slippers. One of the other ladies also came by and yelled that I do not know how to hold my nails properly to get them to dry !!! The the lady next to me, who was all dolled up, got to place her hands under a nail dryer !!If they had not asked me to pay at the start, I would not have left a tip for the terrible attitude and the snickering, talking in a language I could not understand and basically treating me like I was stupid! First visit left a good impression about the place. I did my manicure and pedicure here and i loved it. While inside, i have seen many returning customers who seem to be very happy. In my book, that says a lot about the place to have loyal customers.
