They’re a nice group of people and I’ve normally had my shellac or acrylic nails last quite a while and look great’ However, they recently hired new people and I found that the lady was nice but she seemed new in her field and resulted in mediocre nails. They were streaky and parts of my nails were not fully painted. Again, my nails usually last three weeks and this time around they’ve only lasted me 5-6 day as they’re already chipping. My daughter just came back from this nail salon, and they filed her skin down so bad that three of her fingers were bleeding!! I called them to ask for a refund and they said “ if you want a refund we will have to take her acrylic nails off”! And hung up! If anyone gets acrylic nails,they know you need to take them off with acetone which would burn her fingers with the cuts on them. This is absolutely no way to run a business! Read Less

Don’t go here. Came with my sister and got pedicures. They don’t give what a “typical” pedicure should be. 1.took off nail polish 2. Scraped for a 10 seconds 3. Put polish back with a dirty uv light machine 4. Didn’t give a massage 5. Put lotion on after I asked All took about 20 mins, when it normally require about an hour for a service. Went to pay. $51. On the menu board, says it is $26 for refill plus $20 for shallac = $46 Charged $51. When we asked, they said for pedicure it’s extra $5. Fine. What ever. That’s your price. At least be honest and give a proper pedicure instead of ripping people off. Not satisfied at all. Don’t go here. Read Less

I've been to this salon twice. The first time I got a pedicure (which was actually quite a pleasant experience) and this time which will be my last. I called asking to book myself for a full set of gels, to which the staff immediately asked me if I wanted bio gels. I wasn't aware that there was a difference between UV gels and bio gels so I just agreed and they booked me in for a 2:00. I got to the salon 15 min early and they took me right away which was great. The initial part of the service was fine, but my aesthetician seemed to be struggling a little bit the further we got in and I noticed one of the others was watching him fairly closely.Then he pulled out said "bio gel" and I was confused - I started asking questions and it seemed he didn't really understand or maybe know how to explain to me what he was doing. It's a "new" type of gel and apparently they're stronger? Who knows. I let it go but as he's painting the gel on, I turn to look at the price. It's 58$ for a full set versus the $37 starting price for the gels I actually wanted (however I know that's partly on me for not clarifying). I've had gels done multiple times. UV or otherwise, they're not supposed to be lumpy and flat. And when they're pointed like claws (which was what I asked for) they're not supposed to be triangle-shaped and ridiculously sharp. Each time I tried to politely ask if he would fix a nail or confirm what exactly he was doing, he would give me the impression that everything was fine. By the time he was done, it was 4:15 and I was late for another commitment - left alone while the staff were in the break room eating. I asked if I was okay to leave and he said yes, cashed me through (with tax it came up to $65). I did not tip. While cashing out I nicked my thumb which wasn't completely dry and though he graciously rushed to fix it for me, he used the wrong colour.I was so frustrated that I rushed out and left my scarf and bag. Realizing this walking home, I called to make sure they knew my stuff was left there and I would pass by on my way to my other commitment. When one of the employees picked up the phone, he said "can I call you back in 5 minutes?" To which I replied "sorry?". He said there was a lineup and he had to call me back (mind you, when I left not even 3 minutes earlier, I was one of two people in the salon. I ignored him and told him my name and that my stuff was left there and I was coming back, he said ok and I hung up. When I went back, the same woman getting a pedicure when I left was still there, alone. No line up, no other clients. I was treated well my first visit but strongly feel this time, that I was not taken care of. I'm not sure if my aesthetician was an apprentice but the other employee who was watching this uncomfortable experience happen should have done something. Had a great experience at Icon Nails and Spa. The staff were friendly and the clientele kept rolling through the door within my recent visit. What I loved was how they knew many people by name and remembered their favorite nail preferences/treatments. They are really apart of the community. If you are going to stop by, try to book an appointment so that you do not need to wait. I got bio gel nails (full set) and waxing done. My nails lasted for a solid three weeks and the application was thin even with a tip which I was impressed about. I even asked for some nail art and one of the brothers was able to draw free hand. My nails took a while to complete and they didn't rush and went beyond their closing time. I felt terrible afterwards as it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Yes, this spa is a no frills kind of place and yes they aren't super chatty but I appreciated the quality of the work done and their prices are reasonable. Read Less

These guys are NOT aestheticians. If that doesn't matter to you than you will be fine. These are just 2 guys and their mother (I think) that paint nails ok. This is NOT a salon. Their English is good (for instructions) and they're great in a rush (for a satisfactory job). That's about it. Very few shellac selections also. Read Less

My best friend used to go here because she worked in Port Credit and it was only about a 10 minute commute for us. She introduced me to it and they're pretty good at what they do. They're quick super friendly and ask what you like to make sure they do what you like. Their colour selection for shellac is CRAZY I'm very indecisive so it was NOT an easy task for me. I finally fell in love with one colour and I get it at every salon I go to that offers it. It's called starburst and I love it. Sometimes it's busy and they rush a little but other times they take their time when they can. Both ways, they're decent and worth the money, I feel they're affordable. They're clean, and they give a real nice massage (it's extra for longer ones) when you get a pedicure but I'm telling you it was great.Not too sure why I stopped going here, but if you're looking for a decent place on a budget or just don't want to spend too much and want a wide colour selection, I would definitely suggest going here.
