My first visit to Aria was for a colour correction. I had bleached my hair with a boxed dye and it was bright orange, and not blonde like I had hoped. I made an appointment, and Felicia turned my hair into a gorgeous, perfect shade of blonde! She was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient with me. Today was my first visit. However, the customer service began when I called last week for an appointment. Camila answered the phone, was polite and very helpful. When I walked in for my appointment, Camila was there to greet me with a smile, and called me by my name! A hot beverage was immediately offered, the coffee was flavourful and perfectly prepared. I got my nails done with Kelly. She took the time and fixed all (and there were a lot) of mistakes that were made by previous salons. Kelly is very professional, easy to talk to, and ensures you are aware of what she is doing, and why. She knows her stuff and my nails look so good they look like I do not have bio gel on!! Being that it was my 1st visit, I got 20% off!!! That wasn't even the icing on the cake. The prices are more than reasonable... The service top notch.... The care and knowledge these wonderful people have has guaranteed me as a return customer. It is places like these that make me proud to support local businesses! Thank you Camila and Kelly!! See you soon! *Update.... 1 week later, my bio gel with shelac chipped off my right index finger and lifted on my thumb, now on occasion this will happen. I called immediately. Sadly, I had to wait 2 days before I could get a repair (scheduling on both parts) When I walked in for my appointment, the woman (not the same as my first visit) at the front was less then impressed, as if I disturbed her day. There was a mug of tea (empty I believe) sitting dead center on the front greeting desk. She took my coat and walked me to the back.... No beverage offered? And I was looking forward to it.... Nail repaired and Charged for it, not a lot, but my nails didn't even last 7days!? Oh and the empty tea mug was still on the counter while I was paying, I was also asked if it was mine!?? I am now writing this review 2 days after my repair...I washed my face, looked down.... Bio gel and shellac lifted and chipped on my right index finger.... Yup, the one I just had repaired.... Sadly, I see no point in returning... Another repair cost would be more then the 20% off I got for my first visit. At this point, I'm just going to get them re done. Due to the complete 180 in service, the charge for repair so close after getting my nails done, and the same issue occurring 2 days later... 2 stars removed... If it wasn't for the fantastic 1st visit, it would have been a 1 star. ... Disappointed 😥 **2nd update: this review began with 5 stars. Sadly less the two weeks after getting my nails done (bio gel and shellac) all but my left baby finger peeled off. When I went to a different salon to get this mess fixed, it was explained that the bio gel was put on to thin... What started as an excellent experience turned out to cost me quite a bit of time and money... I can confidently say that, I just had the best haircut I’ve ever received! My stylist Serina was absolutely phenomenal and flat out amazing. She was exceptionally skilled, full of personality, and truly funny. Aria is extremely clean and I was greeted in such a comforting way that I felt like I actually belonged. I have great experiences at Aria with Diana. But I went for a blow dry with Sherri and it was a terribly excoriating experience. Very little customer service skills. From the ridiculous amount of shampoo in my ears while washing my hair, right down to her criticizing my haircut and my "damaged hair from straightening to much", which apparently means she couldn't do a good blow dry- as she said. Side note: I used to get a blow dry weekly and have bouncy beautiful hair every time. She used so much product, hairspray and volume spray in my hair that because I needed the style for the next day I had do go to an express blow bar to redo this disaster (my blow dry usually lasts 3-4 days with no issues). She is also very awkward to talk with. So needless to say this was the worst blow dry/ hair experience. She may be good at cuts/colour since she kept reminding me that she's been doing hair since the 80s but definitely don't go to her for styles... or if you want an enjoyable experience. Read Less

I went in with some light colour on my ends from a previous colouring somewhere else, however most of my hair was completely black and I went into the Salon off a recommendation and I was put with Serina and I can not express how much I LOVE my hair. Serina did an AMAZING job. I went blonde on one try and on top of that I have super thick hair plus a lot and she was so patient. I usually get very anxious at salons because all I get are stylists getting annoyed over how much hair I have however Serina made me feel super comfortable and exceeded my expectations. I don't typically rate places as one star, but I had a really bad experience with this spa. I booked two appointments, one for myself, and one for my mom for mother's day. I booked well in advance to make sure we could both have our appointment at the same time and day. From the start, the salon was quite disorganized. In the week before my appointment, I received calls from three different people to confirm our appointments. When I called myself to double check our appointments, I was told (two days before) that they could only accommodate one of us as they had a last minute cancellation. I reluctantly agreed as I had no choice. The next day, I received an email confirmation for an aromatherapy massage. I immediately called as I asked for the body mud treatment, not aromatherapy. When I called, they assured me that they had me booked in for the mud treatment and that their booking system automatically books everyone in for aromatherapy if they're getting a body massage. I said okay and planned to take my mom in the next day. When we got to the salon, I confirmed that she was going to be receiving a mud treatment. The lady at the front desk said yes. The lady providing treatment then met with us and was confused as she only provides aromatherapy massages. At this point, we were quite confused and it seemed clear that we wouldn't be receiving the service I'd asked for. We were able to speak to an esthetician who typically provides the body treatments. This is when we began to get really disappointed. First of all, no one wanted to claim responsibility for speaking to us over the phone. The lady I first spoke to when entering the salon denied that she spoke to me and had told me we would be receiving the mud treatment. Not only this, but they tried to sell us a treatment for $165 at a later date (because they had no one available for the treatment today) when the price online said $95. $95 is also the price I confirmed when I called. At this point, they said that their website needs to be updated and that they do not provide the services listed on their website. At this point, both my mom and I were extremely disappointed and decided to leave. We were hoping to support a local salon but after being booked in for the wrong appointment, and after trying to be sold a much more expensive package and being told that the ones on their website are not available, we were extremely disappointed. Unfortunately, it was not the mother's day gift I was hoping for. I'd like to try to give them another chance, but their unreliability and lack of professionalism completely ruined our mothers day outing. I love this place. I see Alyson and she is so kind and truly cares about my happiness and her work. She has actually saved my hair. I was going to get Great Lengths and I had a bad feeling about my previous stylist who was requiring my hair to be fully bleached in order to get the extensions. I randomly called the salon because I live nearby and she got on the phone and I just clicked with her.I went for a consult and ended up with tape in extensions. I love them. If I ever have an issue with where one is placed because it bugs me, she is more than willing for me to come in and have things changed. No charge. And with a smile. She's also fixed my blonde from brassy to beautiful. Highly highly highly recommend. Read Less

I am a first time customer and will DEFINITELY be returning after the amazing experience I had this evening. My husband and I took my daughter to get her first real hair cut. Sherri was absolutely incredible. She was extremely warm and welcoming when we first arrived and the experience only got better. Kids are not always the easiest to work with and al though our daughter did great, Sherri made her feel extremely comfortable. Unfortunately I had a bad experience, I booked my hair appointment for my bachelorette party. I had an initial appointment, then asked to postpone it one hour, I was told I could only postpone it 30 minutes. So I came for my appointment at the set time, but waited 45 minutes for my appointment!!! I couldn't believe it, they were not really apologetic either. Then when I went to pay, I was charged WAY MORE than the receptionist had quoted me. The hair dresser made it seem like it was my issue and not the salon's mistake or misinformation. When I moved from Toronto to Mississauga a couple years ago, I knew I would have to find a new hair salon (something I hate doing as I am very faithful to the service people in my life).  I found Aria salon randomly on Yelp, and decided to give it a try.  I am so happy that I did as it is even better then the salon i went to in Toronto. This salon is beautiful, clean and had a professional ambience. That is what the 2 stars are for. The staff is there to do there job averagely and rip you off completely while they do it. I have been to top salons all over Toronto and have never been told once price and billed another upon leaving for reasons completely arbitrary. I will never return. (It was for a Brazilian. An amazing spa to visit when you want to treat yourself. I come here for waxing services because they are the absolute best. They always let you check to ensure you are satisfied before they leave the room, which is a huge plus. The atmosphere is very warm and relaxing, with dimmed lights and low music in the waiting room, even tea and water to drink while you wait. Even now that I don't live in this area, I still drive out there. The staff are polite and efficient and never make you feel rushed. Only downside is the price. You do certainly get what you pay for and its worth it, but it isn't cheap. Read Less

I love coming to Aria. I had been in love with the stylist I had when I lived in Waterloo, ON and when I moved back to Mississauga I actually drove out to Waterloo a few times to see her, but that became unrealistic. I came to Aria (to Jay, specifically) off of referral from a friend. I can only speak to Jay's work, but he's fantastic. Not only does he do great work, but he is so much fun to be around. Much like the other commenter here (Sue D), I have found that the staff at Aria really seems to have fun there. Jay listens to what you want and will make suggestions but he likes to know what your plan is ahead of time (no "just, whatever!") which is nice because he takes it seriously. He has also talked me out of some bad ideas, which I truly appreciate in retrospect!A typical full head of highlights, wash, cut, blow-dry and style + tip runs around $150 but it's worth it since the work Jay does grows out nicely; even though it gets obvious when it's been a while, Jay never commits me to something I can't let grow out a bit.Overall, great work and lots of fun. Not sure who "THEY" are but I have always been told (and believed) "you get what you pay for". So when it comes to my hair - you bet I was paying A LOT!  The sad part is, I would love my hair when I walked out of the salon, but the next day (and every day until my next visit) was hell. I could never do what they did....Well not anymore. I have found "hair nirvana" at Aria Salon.  The stylists here are amazing!  I have been blonde for .... lets just say "many" years. But after some deep breathing and discussion with the stylist I went dark. And WOW! The intricacy of the hi-lights and low-lights make my hair look gorgeous day and night (will update profile photo soon!) I have flat lifeless hair that most stylists addressed with a TON of product and I just gave up on.  They not only gave me a style that looked amazing on "salon day" (that didnt need a ton of product) but I am able to replicate that style myself (actually I dont - they cut it so I can wake up and go - no muss no fuss! Perfection!!).Needless to say these guys understand hair and are constantly going on courses and seminars to learn about new trends and keep their skills sharp.  So you are probably wondering how pricy this place is.... its not.  And the atmosphere is friendly and fun. You can tell these people love working here and they truly care about their clientele.My search for the perfect hair salon is over. I could move to another country and I would still make trips back here just for my hair.And so I say to the "THEY" that have ruled my life "Its not the price that dictates quality, its the passion".  Aria Salon has a ton of passion and if you have ever had one of "those cuts" or are just tired of your look.
