Poorly equipped for makeup assignments. Unforgiving service. Possibly quite stingy with their service too. Booked an appointment for makeup. Was placed in a poorly lit room and was first seated in a low wooden/plastic chair. Makeup artist had to bend her back low in order to do my makeup. After realizing how uncomfortable it was for her, she moved me to the spa bed and I sat slouched over to have my makeup put on. How uncomfortable! There was no mirror in front of me. Only one on the wall and hidden in far off corner away from everything. Had to jump off the spa bed in order to see what was happening to my face. Poor, limited makeup kit. Had to choose from a limited colour selection for eyeshadows. Didn't have pinks, purples, greens, blues...hardly any colours except dry and stale neutrals. Same with lipsticks--had one or to color choices for blush. No bronzer or sparkle at all. Very impoverished and unprofessional setup. Not sure how they had the nerve to charge me full price for special occasion makeup application, when they are not fully serviced to do the job. Pretty shameful I would say. Not worth the spend. To make matters worse, I forgot to pay using my wayspa Gift Card and asked if payment could be reapplied to card. Manager gave me an outright no and after pleaing with her, she said she would talk to the owner and get back to me the next morning. Did not call me back. Called her back 2 days later and the answer was still no. Their system does not accept refunds. So if you make a mistake or if they charge you for something by mistake, good luck! Stay away!!! Can't believe my experience here. I came with my wife we both asked for pedicures. My wife got her feet rubbed, nails, the whole nine yards. I got 3 min of not all my nails cut, no rub, and some oil on my feet. I then sat there for 15 min with wax on my feet while I watched my wife still getting hers rubbed. Maybe she thought because I'm a guy I wouldn't know what a pedicure in tails, who knows. Then to cap it off the price went up by $16 because I wanted to pay debt. So on top of crappy and lazy work they are trying to avoid paying taxes to the Canadian government..... Interesting I wonder how the CRA will feel about this. To be continued Read Less

Although I do not go as often as I would like to, Vixen is the best nail salon in Milton. It is not the cheapest and not the most expensive but at least you know the salon is clean, they use clean tools, and they have experienced friendly staff. They pride themselves on great service. If you are just looking for a quick manicure/pedicure and you don't care about what I've mentioned, there are plenty of other salons to choose from in Milton. If you want to be sure the utensils used on your nails are clean, the nail polish is actually what's written on the bottle and the staff is friendly and good at what they do (this comes at a reasonable price) then this is your place. In my visits to this salon, I have never witnessed any of the situations described in the negative reviews listed here - the only things I have seen include some rude people who are expecting a four seasons spa experience but only want to pay dollar store prices. Had my first experience with Vixen Nails and Spa and unfortunately, I will not be returning. I booked days in advance a mani shellac with 2 nail art designs. After looking through the Vixen Nails and Spa Instagram page I settled on the color and design I was hoping to get. Initially, the esthetician wasn't very friendly or welcoming compared to her co-workers who greeted me while I waited at the station. I had shown the esthetician pictures of the color and nail design that I wanted. She then suggested a color that was nowhere near what I shown her and proceeded to ask what style I wanted. I asked her to clarify and she repeated the exact question without any explanation. Seeing how confused I was she followed up by recommending to me that that a silver sparkle nail color would look great on my ring fingers along with the other nail color she CHOOSE. Still confused I assumed maybe she's going to use this sparkle nail polish to recreate the art design I asked. I trusted her experience as an esthetician, as I am not in that field. As we were busy talking I quickly realized my nails were nowhere near what I requested and it was too late to say anything as she had already applied several coats of the nail polish. Once it was done I paid a large tab for a HORRIBLE service, she did not clean up my cuticles properly, I paid for a nail art design that had no design whatsoever!! It was just painted in a different solid sparkly color. Sadly, that would be the first and last time that I will visit Vixen Nails and Spa. I will be returning to Coco Nails and Spa which is located right around the corner and although there's a communication barrier (language difference) between me and the estheticians at Coco, they at least LISTEN when I show them what I want done to my nails. Vixen is very disrespectful of customers when a service does not turn out well. Five days after a very shoddy Vinylux manicure the polish was flaking so badly. When I called and emailed pictures to request a $17 colour change, they would not comply. Clearly, saving a dollar is more important than a happy customer. Feeling very devalued! Read Less

I've been on two separate occasions. The first time was pedicure only and my aesthetician did an amazing job. I was really happy with the service! The second time around was a bit different. I booked a mani-pedi for last Saturday for 9:30. First, your aesthetician was 10 min late. Not a huge deal, but quite unprofessional in my opinion. My pedicure was just as good as the last one but when we moved onto my manicure is when things went a bit awry. Your aesthetician cut two of my cuticles too short causing them to bleed. Overall the job she did was a bit sloppy and my nails didn't really look any nicer or that I'd even had a professional manicure. A waste of money in my opinion.Also,  there seems to be some personal issues with two of your staff.  When she finished applying the polish to my nails, she and another girl excused themselves to have a discussion outside. Really?  After about 15 awkward minutes of me sitting there, alone, my aesthetician comes back in, crying and rushes to the back and so another girl came to apply the drops and basically ushers me out the door to pay, but not before I pay $50 for this "experience". Most salons offer deals for mani-pedis, you might want to consider doing the same. I don't visit nail salons to take part in or experience drama. Considering there are 3 other salons alone in that plaza, I think I'll try my luck elsewhere next time. Read Less

Booked an appointment for 2 spa services. I arrived 15 minutes early, as I have for any other spa appointment, expecting to be greeted warmly and offered a beverage at least. Instead I was ordered to sit down until my appointment. I sat there for 15 minutes, my appointment had officially begun and I was waiting while 2 aestheticians were talking by the front desk. Waited 5 more minutes and still had not had one word spoken to me. When I am going to pay good money for a service, I expect a high customer service level in return. I have been going to Vixen all summer and they are just fabulous. I first tried them in the spring because the other place I use to go was just disgusting. The service is the best I have ever seen. I have driven by this establishment many times but I really discovered them through the Wayspa website. I was given a WaySap Gift Certificate and told Vixen redeems them.I went there and I was quite impressed with the way they do business. they treated me like a Diva. I had a $100 gift certificate, so I got a Facial and a Shellac Manicure. I was very happy with my facial and my manicure lasted forever.Now I am there twice a month to get services LOL! Read Less

I have been trying Shellac for the past 2 months at various salons and there has always been problems and it never lasted me 14 days as advertised.I went to Vixen and all of my issues are resolved!
