This location seems to be very inconsistent which is unfortunate as I visit this location the most because it's the most convenient for me. This visit, I went in for an upper lip and brow waxing which they've previously done as a combo for about $12/13 before tips. This time, however, I was not getting what I expected although I asked the salesperson at the desk upon entering the store. I asked her if they still had the upper lip and eyebrow waxing combo to which she replied yes, so I decided to go for it (I know different stores have different prices, so I make sure to ask every time I go just in case changes occur). The lady who did my waxing was quick and efficient, while still taking the care to pluck the tiny hairs that broke during the waxing (the ladies who have done my previous waxes here have all been quick and pretty skilled, which is always a positive!). However, I was in for a shock when I went back to the desk to pay. The girl there asked me if I just had my brows waxed; I told her that I did the upper lip as well, even though she was the one who I asked for the prices first, and billed me $18 before tips (I asked my friend about it after as it didn't sit well with me; she confirmed I was overcharged and that she gets her whole face done for less than that!). When I asked about the combo again she replied that they "never had something like that" before, which was odd to me because the price is one of the reasons I come to this store and the reason I decided to get these services this visit. When I told her that they did before which is why I asked about it in the first place, she was still adamant about never having a deal for the brows and upper lip waxing and asked when I last visited which was a couple of months ago. Having had a previously horrible experience with a botched hair colouring session and knowing how unbudging their associates are here, I decided to cut my losses, paid and was given a stamp card; which I will quite likely not be using as I don't plan on returning. I understand if prices may have changed and if deals like that aren't offered anymore. But to be told that they never had a deal like that before when it is literally the deal I got the last time I visited just doesn't seem right. I was at Markville mall location yesterday , then I received the most “Horrible” Custoner experience of my life time!!! I had purchase and ESSE brand nail polish that was on sale for $4.00 People are start to line up but there was no one except one older lady doing waxing for a customer . Waited a bit until finally she approached and rung up my purchase. I left the store and I opened the bottle and tried on then notice it was completely!! Dried. Went right back to store and told the associate who rung up that the nail polish was defected and I would like refund. At time she was busy waxing another customer, so she ask another young girl to help out who was sitting on a chair playing with her phone . When I explain again what happen, this the first word came out of her mouth, “sorry it’s is a final sale so no refund allowed” Then I told her I just bought 2 min a gap and it was completely dried Then she proceed to tell me, “well you opened and tried on so therefore no refund allowed” Then I said to her but it is defected and you should not be selling this kind of product “ and the girl explained that “well that’s why it’s on sale cause it’s old one” If you don’t wanted I will grow out in the garbage for you but we can’t give you money back” OMG!! Couldn’t believe my ear what I was hearing this girl!! So you are selling product that need to go to garbage???? At this point it was principle matter. I told the girl I am not leaving without her getting refund and told her they should not be selling defected item so pls who know 10 years old polish..?? I told her want to speak to manager, and so reluctant to call the manager , and finally manger told her to give money back so I got refund . This is the kind of customer service provide and selling old defected stuff, wow good luck to you “trade secret” You need to hire better people who actually want to work !!!
