Spent $70 on my nails, biogel + tip + air brushed. The layers of biogel ended up chipping off revealing the nail tip. The polish is coming off on some fingers. Mind you this did not even last one week, I was still on vacation. Never coming back. Save your time and money, go elsewhere. Read Less

I feel sad to give this salon 2 stars because the couple times I've had a shellac manicure here it was great, they did a really good job and it lasted 2 weeks with no chips. However, they lost 3 stars because after having a pedicure, I developed a foot fungus. I developed peeling skin on the bottom of my foot where they scrub with that abrasive bar, I didn't notice at first because I thought it was just dry skin. Yet it didn't go away, and then it eventually spread to my other foot which began to peel and itch and that's when I realized. My suggestion to them is to use equipment that can be properly sanitized to prevent this from happening to other customers. Read Less

Had a pretty good experience here getting a full set of acrylics with shellac polish on top. The appointment was relatively quick (approx 45 min -ish) and service was okay. My nails looked fantastic when I left. My only complaint was the shop interior feels somewhat crowded and not the most clean or well kept. For example there was a wet towel on the desk I was sitting at which wasn’t a huge bother but just isn’t necessarily ‘five star’ or even ‘four star’ service. That said, price was great. I love this place and all of the very talented ladies at this salon. The ladies take their time with your nails and always are very professional. They have so many shellac colours, sometimes it's hard to pick! They use the plastic bags in the pedicure baths, have several sanitation machines and the salon is always very clean. I especially love Christy and the way she does my nails and pedicures. Christy takes her time and has an excellent grasp of all types of nail designs, shapes and paints them perfectly each time. Came here on the recommendation of my sister, she told me extensions + acrylic was only $35ish so I was blown away by those prices. Too good to be true, for sure. It's in the sketchy plaza across Markville and my sis warned me they're a bit aggressive and never on time for appointments. This was proven to be true as I waited 10-15 min- not too bad still. Christy is great, good with English and efficient. She did shave my cuticles by accident as she was shaving down the nail but only once or twice. They have lots of colours to choose from, powder or shellac or gel. Literally every cool nail thing you see on instagram, they have here - cat eye gel, holographic nails, chromes etc. She was super fast but good - gave me acrylics which ended up smooth but not super thick as most acrylics go. I prefer acrylics over gel because it's just stronger.. especially when you're dropping weights at the gym, ja feel? I've broken so many gel nails at the gym and I'm like ... y tho. These acrylics feel strong and durable AND they're affordable af. I paid $50 including tip. She also gives a nice little hand massage at the end, it's wonderful.I want to come back for a pedi! I've been getting acrylics or gel done for the last 10 years and always looking for a new place because I'm so picky and they never make me happy! Then i tried sunny nails 3 years ago and since then not only im the happiest with the service I receive but everyone's asking me where I get my nails done because it's perfect! So I called in before coming to confirm the price ...they told me $28 for acrylic for my feet...once I got here she said it's 35 for just acrylic and no pedicure!....once she started I realized she wasn't putting any tips on my feet and when I mentioned it the lady next to me said it was too late even though she had just done two nails ....I was ready to leave when she was like ok ok I will do it for you 40$...I swear I was so pissed. Got a shellac Mani here, and my mom got a regular mani and a shellac pedi. The girl did a good job on my cuticles, and the shellac application was even and carefully done. I will say that the end result came out a little streaky which is unfortunate, but I guess it was mostly due to the pale pink colour I chose. I asked her to do an extra coat on one finger which she did without complaint, but she didn't bother checking the rest of the fingers for a touchup - probably because there were waiting customers so she was a bit rushed.My mom did say that they do a really good job on the pedicures - lots of attention to smoothing down the soles of the feet and making sure calloused areas were given extra attention. Dropped in here after work on a Wednesday and luckily, one of the girls named Christy was available. She was fluent in English which was really helpful and was super nice! I like that the ladies in here did not have their own conversation in Chinese like a lot of other Asian nail salons.At first, I was going to get a shellac mani ($30) and Christy began to cut my cuticles. I changed my mind last minute to get the bio gel overlay with shellac colour and Christy was kind enough to tell me that the usual gel overlay does not include cuticle trimming which is $10 extra but she said the fee would be waived this time. How nice!!! Christy did a wonderful job on my nails! Although the prices here are a bit higher than my usual nail salon ($50: bio gel overlay $40 + $10 for colour), I'm glad to know they are close by to my work so I can always drop in for a last minute nail refresher! Don't waste your time! I waited to write my review after getting my nails done 2 times The girls I received for my treatment have zero concept of effectively cutting cuticles. Also when you give them feedback they angrily scoff and chat in their native language. This maybe the best option for Markham. If so, that's pathetic. Never been so upset by a salon. Ever. So prior to going out of town today, I thought I would do my nails so they looked decent while I was gone. Texted some friends who said that Sunny Nails & Spa seemed like a decent place. So here I am, walking in for an appointment. All was good in the beginning, got started into my Bio seaweed gel extension manicure promptly following the walk in. The girl who drilled my nails and applied the fake tips was a doll. She seemed so polite and then came the roulette. I had three different girls for one simple step of using a drill bit to prep my nails for the first layers of gel. Three. To an extent, it wasn't a big deal but just ... Odd. Moving onto the process they did the gel layer, looked pretty well at first. In the curing process, I didn't really spot anything wrong. Selecting polish colours afterwards was good too. I just asked for a white polish seeing as I've been a fan of white nails lately. Asked for a design too. Simple right?The white went on streaky. Coats seemed abnormally thick. Rushed. The first girl also hovered over the station the entire time, only leaving when she herself had a client. Again, not a big deal. After I was done and had paid, I popped into the car. Took a look at my nails. Okay nothing too bad yet. On the drive afterwards, I accidentally slammed my nail when I had to swerve to avoid an oncoming car (who's driving legitimately scared me for a moment) my finger slammed against the steering wheel. "Oh that's fine, I'll just take it off and paint it myself" wrong. Took the nail polish off and was greeted by the biggest air pocket ever. By whim, I took the rest off. Went to this place today...it's a cute and small little place. Very clean and wait was not long at all. I was pretty much seated within 5 minutes of walking in, no appointment. I asked for Bio-seaweed gel extensions and Wayne helped me with it. He is absolutely amazing! I am definitely going back there from now on! I have gone to this location twice to have my underarms waxed.  They are pretty good in that both times I just walked in and was served immediately.  The lady that does the waxing was really good and thorough.My only objection was that she kept re-dipping the stick into the wax and that to me is a big no no at best.  It's kind of dirty overall in appearance and if it weren't for the convenient location I would probably not go back.So while they do a good job it's not the most hygienic place Read Less

I did some reviews before choosing this nails salon.   There was 1 star and 4-5 stars reviews from the previous yelpers.  Good Luck!Because of having a wedding function this week, I decided to make some beautiful nails and toes.  I made an appointment a day before and they are very understanding if you were running late for 5-10 minutes.  As soon as I walked in, my feeling to this salon is tidy and bright.   The wait is acceptable even they are busy during 4-6pm.   The staffs are polite and friendly, the lady named Annie did the spa manicure and pedicure for me.  She was detailed and efficient.   They all wear gloves, most of them wear surgical masks.  Seemingly they are highly hygienic and by observing around - the work tray and tools were washed after each use and then placed into an incubator which I believe it is for sterilization process.   Overall, this is an acceptable and licensed nail salon I feel safe to use the service.Services I received today:1) Spa Manicure2) Pedicure with French style($3 each on 1 & 2) + add-on spa to my hand ($8) total: $49 cash plus some tips for Annie.  She was quiet but very focused on my nails and toes.  No flaw on my colour and I do appreciate the fact that she does fix what I asked to fix.  Another compliment goes to the front desk staff he was fairly efficient on his multitasking, answer the phone call , filing nails for customers and greeting in and out customers at the same time.More importantly I've received several compliments from my nails and toes :)Thanks Sunny , this experience was pleasant and will return this nail salon!The prices and services are the keys to keep long term customers - I see it is what they are doing. I got my toes and nails done for my wedding at this place and the lady did such an amazing job.  When she found out it was for my wedding she spent extra careful time to ensure she did a great job.  I always go back and took my mom who also raved about how well done her toes were.  I highly recommend this place but make sure you try to book an appointment to avoid the wait especially on a weekend morning. I went to get a pedicure today from Sunny's which was $25 and I like it there. Although it was a small little store, but it was nicely decorated and most importantly it was clean. They don't have a ton of nail polishes to pick from but that's okay. The lady who did my pedicure was very patient and I think she did a really good job. They provided a decent massage up to my knees. I've been to many nail salon places where they only gave me like a 1 min massage so I am very happy with this one.
