We had a wonderful experience at Hali D today. Dawn and Nee took care of us. They were lovely ladies. They made us feel welcomed and right at home. The salon was brightly lit and clean. The tools were sterilized from a sealed pack and the tubs were covered in plastic that was changed for each new guest. The color selection was plentiful and had any color you might want or need. We opted for the Deluxe Pedicure and we were not disappointed. It included a special scrub which left our feet silky soft as well as hot towels and massage which were incredibly relaxing. The prices are in line with the quality of service received. Excellent service, well kept work areas, sharp decor, and great color selection. I would recommend this place and Nee and Dawn to anyone! My favorite nail salon yet!!! I got the mani pedi special last night and the staff treated me like a queen! Hannah was working on my pedicure while Lena was working on my manicure as I sat and enjoyed the massage chair. They also massage your arms and legs very well! My muscle soreness from work went away! Prices are reasonable compared to downtown Toronto nail salon. Always ask for Sandy as she is the best esthetician. Always happy when she does my mani and pedi. I made the mistake on two separate occasions allowing others to do my mani and pedi. So ONLY Sandy! Read Less

I've been here a few times and have generally had a good experience. Prices are very reasonable, and competitive. My only advice would be to go try to go around off-peak times (weekdays, during the middle of the day.) If you go during the exceptionally busy times, they'll tell you to come back in 15 minutes, and when you do, you'll find that they're still not ready for you or that they've taken in somebody else ahead of you. Also, if they're towards the end of doing your nails, and another client comes in, they will start rushing like crazy. Also, if possible, avoid the male nail technician! I came in and confirm if child pedicure is still $5.  The manager agreed it was $5.  Mind you the first time I had this service for my child, she had the full pedicure treatment with feet soaked and all.  I told all my family and friends how awesome they were and how great the deal was.  And since the manager confirmed the price at $5, I agreed to reserve for two - me and my 7 year old.I was told to come back in 20 minutes.  Came in, waited another 20 minutes, didn't mind.  Then a lady set up my kid's seat with the foot soak and all.  When my daughter was in "relaxed mode" already, I was told by the manager it is $15.  And so I said, no, I had it for $5, and you confirmed it was $5.  I said I am sorry but I am not doing it for $15.  The Manager, HANAH, was very RUDE and said "OK, JUST GO, there's no way that service is $5"!First of all, I waited for 40 minutes instead of 20.  Second, she agreed it was $5, my child was already in there, could you not at least apologize for the "misunderstanding" and maybe consider it for $5 as because of all the inconvenience?!  The least she could have done was apologize.  But no, her voice was raised up, to the highest tones as if she owns the world!  Please don't get me wrong, I realize that $5 is a GREAT GREAT deal.  And hence I re confirmed because it might just be a promotion the first time we had it.  Turned out to be a mistake the first time.  The rest of the staff were ok, but surprisingly, the manager herself, named HANAH treated us so badly.  I hope the owner gets to read this.It is sad that I WILL NEVER EVER EVER GO BACK to this salon.  I used to do my nails and my eyebrows here at this place, mainly due to price. I want to ask, Why make an appointment when they keep you waiting long past the appointment time and then say can you wait or go with another person. This was a horrible experience both times. This place is a disaster if you want to ruin your nails for sure. They are also trying to make more and more money on simple nail jobs. My second visit was for a polish change, they tell you to choose your color and when you do, because you chose from this shelf it's an extra $5 and then they are suppose to trim and buff your nails to make the polish look finish, it's an extra $5 and then do you want a design, an extra again so your $10 polish change could cost you easily $30 if you are not careful. My first visit was a full pedicure that was not done properly at all and while doing it the lady decided to add and extra $10 service that I did not ask for ... she said "oh your feet are tired, I will do this." I told her I didn't want it and she is "oh I started already, just $10." So needless to say my pedicure was not properly done but costs extra. This was a very negative experience. The worst bio nails that I have ever had and I have had these for the past 10 years. The nails are uneven, lumpy, too short, and poorly done. I was there for 1.5 hours and was not told I would be charged an extra $5 for American. She actually put hand cream on when done and destroyed the finish of the bio gel...I had to come home to put a coat of polish on for them to look only half decent!! My daughter said my nails look awful! I am embarassed to be seen. I can't wait until my regular girl at Daisy Nails is back from Vietnam.
