This used to be my go-to spot for waxing my face when I still lived in the area. The salon is huge. I find the staff to be very efficient​ but effective at the same time - making sure all the hair is gone. My only complaint is that the girl who waxed my face would sometimes make unnecessary comments but I'd just brush them off. I also got my prom manicure here a few years ago and loved it! The front lady is not very friendly and the staff members barely talk to you. Everyone there is speaking in their language and half the time when you ask a question, they don't answer you. Got my nails done on a wednesday and it cracked on the sunday. Went back to fix it and they charged me $3 when they did a bad job. Took them 30 mins to fix 1 nail and the girl that fixed it did a bad job. It was chunky and uneven. And the owner is rude. I will not be going back. Read Less

Terrible, I been a regular with these people for a while. I asked for the pink and white ombré and it looked good up until when my nails started lifting an breaking three days later. Came back for three nail repairs and the person who did the nails where very inexperienced he kept taking the arcylic off and putting it back on again just crazy. He shaped them wrong and shorter you could see where the pink and white stopped on the line on the nail and when I told the front desk she was very rude and had no understanding. Terrible service and rude staff. Have been going there for years and the service has continued to get worse. Got shelllac done on my nails, it was so thick that it completely lifted and peeled off within 4 days. It seems like they are diluting their polish bottles. I complained and the ladies continued to talk amongst each other in another language whilst giving me blatantly rude looks. They said they can only guarantee 3 days for shellac which is ridiculous as the lifespan of regular polish is longer. I do not recommend this place and highly suggest you go elsewhere. The woman at the front desk also has a terrible attitude and looks at you as though she is doing you a favor when you ask a question. I also question their cleanliness. I called in last minute for a shellac pedi, and they were able to squeeze me in for my desired time (which was 20 minutes after the phone call) since I was in the area. Upon arrival, I decided last minute again that I wanted a shellac mani, as well, and they said okay, they were able to accomodate me. I was surprised by how spacious this nail salon was!I have been delaying getting a pedi lately because of bad experiences, and after watching an episode of Dr. Oz where they showed how you can contract bad bacteria and fungus through nail salon's pedicure stations, I've also been picky. With that being said, I enjoyed how this place actually puts a plastic bag into the foot tubs for each new client coming in. You don't see this a lot in cheap Asian nail salons. So kudos to that for cleanliness!The actual manicure and pedicure itself was whatever. I had one girl working on my toenails, and another on my finger nails. There were some moments where it felt like the girl working on my toe nails was over-filing them and it began to hurt, but no blood or cuts, which is good. Some of my finger nails are a little rounded after I had asked for square shaped...so this is basically why I gave them a 4 star, rather 5...I would say more like a 4.5/5 stars.After I paid, the front desk lady (I'm assuming the owner or one of the owners) gave me a loyalty club card for them...BONUS! This makes me want to come back. Basically if you purchase anything or get a service done over $15 10 times within a year you receive your card, you get a free mini facial or $10 off anything. Anyway, as I was about to walk out after paying, the front desk said to sit back down as they offer complimentary neck/shoulder massage at the very end. I have been going to LaMer Salon for years. Diana is the best nail technician I have ever had. I moved here in 1982, therefore I have utilized numerous salons. Her work is clean and swift for a beautiful result. I get Nexgen mani and gel pedi. I can't state enough how clean and beautiful LaMer Salon is. Came here today on a Sunday morning at around 11am to get my nails did. The store opened at 10am today and it was busy when I got there; considering that I didn't make an appointment, I had to wait about 15 minutes which was not bad. The salon was bigger than I expected when I walked in, I was also greeted by a friendly cashier at the front. My nail technician was nice and sweet. I got a set of shellac manicure done for $28. It was a decent price but I didn't like how they didn't have a specified price list/service list that they offer anywhere visible in the salon. Worst service ever. Every customer request seems to be a demand that requires moving mountains. When asked if I could get my nails filed a little shorter she huffed and puffed. When I told her that I didn't like the color after painting one toe nail, again a huff and a puff. She then didn't remove the nail color just painted over it. I mean come on, it was one nail. This is an amazing nail salon...Linda does such a nice job. But one thing that isn't great is their new front desk lady, very rude she tends to roll her eyes and just very not welcoming her attitude completely sucks. I have been coming here for two years and that front desk lady will end up being the fault for losing customers. I brought my friend to get her nails done just a fill and she tired to tell us it will be over an hour wait than 5 minutes later my friend was getting her nails done. When we were leaving I thought she was trying to tell me to my an appointment next time but she was trying to tell me that next time I should call her employees by name.. Sorry but I don't know all 10 ladies names as I only had my nails done by Linda and two others. She was very rude the way she said it and because of this experience it makes me not even want to go if she's going to ruin my mood with her attitude. After a long winter of wearing boots and socks, my feet were in desperate need of some TLC so I treated myself to a pre- birthday pedicure. I searched on Yelp and found nearby Jade Nail and Spa and it had a decent rating. Plus they were able to take me within 20 min of me calling for an appointment. The salon is clean, and there are half a dozen each of manicure and pedicure stations. I like that they play movies from the W Network for your guilty pleasure while they work on your nails. I also observed them sanitizing nail implements and pedicure soaking basins, which is important to me. They also apparently offer waxing, eyelash extensions, and facials.Karina was my technician and she speaks English well, which made communicating my preferences much easier. She did a great job of trimming my nails, filing them to my desired shape, cleaning off the dry cracked skin from the bottoms of my feet, and gave a great lower leg and foot massage. The pedicure cost $26 plus I paid an extra $5 for lower leg exfoliation. I've not experienced their manicures but from what I could see from others having this done, they seem to do a good job. Plus they give free shoulder massage while your nails dry, which is great! I'm sure I'll be back the next time I want to treat myself to a mani or pedi. 3.5 stars.(63/100) Read Less
