For the past year I had been getting my nails done here and have had no problems, I was always happy with how my nails looked and how long they lasted. Unfortunately the last time I went I encountered an issue that will make me never return to this salon. While doing my nails the owner switched the filing machines because the one she was using on me had died. She traded it off for the one that she used on the customer who went right before me. The worst part about this is that it was not cleaned. About a week later my nails started hurting really bad so I removed the gel nails to find an infection and fungus growing on my nail. This salon is not sanitary with its tool. Even when getting waxed here the staff used a roller instead of fabric, and the room was not well kept. I did have a bad rash after having my legs done. They need to be much more aware of how easily bacterial can spread and how important proper hygiene is at a salon. To make matters worse, the medication to cure the nail infection she transferred to me is $150 a month for 6 months. I will not go back to this salon again. Read Less

I have been getting my nails done for over 6 years and I have never been to a place with such quality work. I appreciate the care they give to their customers, I never feel rushed out the door, the owner always has time to have a nice conversation and has such a sweet personality. The care is not the only thing that brings me back to D&D Nails, the quality of product is truly amazing. I only have to go in for fills once a month or so because the nails stay as strong as the day I get them done, and they also stay shiny. With their nails my hands never feel dull! She takes pride in her work and it clearly shows! She is constantly going to conferences and workshops to learn the latest trends to better serve her customers. Love this place! My daughter, husband, and I went for pedicures to prepare for my sister's big day. We were treated like royalty from the time we walked in until the time we left. This is such a nice and beautifully decorated spa. It's a super welcoming and relaxing environment. I stopped by here yesterday after work and they were able and accommodating to fit me in for a much needed pedicure. I work on my feet all day and Liz did an amazing job! Well after going to Hot Nails at Highbury and Huron I was thoroughly impressed by the service as well as professionalism. The were friendly and gave me exactly what I requested unlike Hot Nails who were constantly rushing and has proven on several occasions their level of inadequacy. D+D were the only ones to get the coffin shape currently! I told them they should teach a class.They were polite and did I mention the facilities? Beautiful! First time and i will return. I made an apt to get my deluxe pedicure with my aunt & uncle. And it's very nice inside they keep it very clean and the staff is extra sweet. I have been getting my eyebrows waxed at a nail salon on the Westbank and she barely leaves any hair left. Now that I want to grow them out thicker Kebrena is going to help me get my eyebrows back to looking amazing. She does a wonderful job! I would recommend this salon to any family or friends! The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere makes it a comfortable place to sit while you enjoy some pampering! I'm not giving it 5 stars for 2 reasons. #1: the products they use /maybe the technique, causes the gel nails not to last. My daughter lost a nail 24hrs after they were done (came right off) and they wanted me to pay an additional $9 to have the single nail replaced. And the manicure & polish I got didn't last either (the polish /top coat wouldn't set so there were numerous scuffs & smudges as well as a lot of the polish washed off within the first 24 hours #2: my daughter is young & during the original application I was told, repeatedly, that because of her age, they would not give her fake nails without me (mom) present (which I appreciated very much) however, the weekend after we got her nails done, my daughter and her friend went to D&D Salon, where they put full gel fake nails on her friend and gave my daughter a quote to get hers filled (which would've been done if she had brought enough money - her friend ran home to ask me for extra spending $$ so that my daughter could get her nails done, to which I said no). So they lied right to my face, repeatedly, about not servicing children under the age of 12. Would I go back? I haven't since and that was my first time! I only went that one time when my daughter and I got our nails done (she got gel nails, I got manicure & polish = $72). It's unlikely based on the quality & price - let alone the fact they put fake nails on kids without a parent being there (especially after telling the parent they would NEVER do that!) Read Less

Seriously the BEST place around! I don't venture anyone else for my mani and pedi needs. I drive 35 minutes to get a service and it's totally worth every minute. The salon is Beautiful and the staff treats you like family! Jae and John are by far the best nail techs around. On a plus side, The lady who did my nails was very chatty and nice, but she was the only one working.  However, beware of false advertising!!   there was a BIG sign outside that advertised shellac nails for $15 which is why I went there.  When it came time to pay it cost the usual $25 plus tax.  When I asked about the special, she said it was over.  Two weeks later, I drive by and the sign is still up advertising for $15 shellac!!  The nail polish must have been old as well because the polish lasted for about a week before it started chipping off.  I was also a little put off when she buffed my nails with a previously used pumice.  So with the amount of nail salons around, you might want to think twice?!
