I have been getting my gel nails done every couple weeks at various places for almost a year. Star nails by far had the worst service.
They were nice enough when I was getting them done, but later that day I noticed that my shellac polish had bubbles in it on every nail. I called them to ask if I could come get this fixed. As soon as I asked, the tone on the phone changed. When I went in today to have them fixed, the lady looked at them and told me I was just looking too closely at my nails. If I am paying for a service, it would be ideal to be able to look at them without noticing flaws.
So she buffed the top layer off then reapplied the top coat. She hardly acknowledged me the rest of my uncomfortable time there and right after putting the top coat back on, she put the dryer on the table and walked away. I put my hands in to dry the shellac and she came back over and said I could go wash my hands. I looked down and the bubbles were STILL there, only this time the shellac was also still sticky.
I have never had either of these issues before. I will not be returning and would certainly not recommend them to anyone else.

Ask for "mom" She does a great pedicure! Foot and leg rub is superior to most. Cost is similar to those in the area.

This review is not about the quality of the service but the interaction with staff. I was unaware that you have to specify regular polish or shellac upon booking an appointment. When we arrived, the manicurist asked us to choose a colour. When I asked for shellac the woman responded with a very harsh response. When we addressed the issue later, she brought other customers into the discussion. Very unprofessional! Of course, I was agitated and defensive. This woman made a Mother’s Day outing uncomfortable and disappointing. Positive customer service would have dictated that the woman clearly and kindly explain the procedure without being dismissive and rude. We shall not be returning to this salon.

I've been going for awhile now and my nails always look amazing! I wouldn't go anywhere else. I love coming to this salon. Great staff and excellent service. Love it!

I went here a while ago and while my nails looked fine, the experience became extremely uncomfortable when the nail tech cut the skin on my toe and it started to bleed. There was no apology and the rest of my experience wasn't good. As soon as I got home I disinfect it but I was worried about infection after that.

I always get my nails done by Yen and the job she does is fantastic. Everyone there are very friendly. I wouldn't go anywhere elce. I highly recommend Star Nails.

I went to the location to see if they had any openings and was told bluntly they were booked . I was ok with this, and waited to be asked if I would like to book an appointment . I had to ask the staff if I could book . It was very clear they were not to concerned if had my nails done or not. It would be nice to be appreciated when your spending money on services from a business.

Nails look great, although a few rough edges. They heat your hands up when you come in from the cold. The staff are lovely, although I feel like the other complaints about them here are because they seem stressed out by the owner. The owner herself is very rude. She sits on a pedicure chair the whole time watching everyone like her test subjects. I felt it was awkward. A few other people came in and I was moved to another seat to accommodate. I personally do not have a problem, but if you have mobility issues, this might be an issue for you. I was also drying my hands and the owner came up, grabbed them and started showing me how to "properly" do it. Overall, if you're looking for quick, cheap nails, this is the place to go.

Excellent service and always do a good job on my nails. Should call to book an appointment because they are really busy cuz they're that good. Some of the customers they have to deal with are unbelievable rude and disrespectful. Feel sorry for them, they are hard working people and they have to deal with those customers.

This used to be my favorite nail place, but unfortunately recently the prices have gone up... While the level of service and quality has gone down. The woman who serviced me didn't say one word, but merely motioned to what she wanted me to do (for example; during the pedicure take my foot out of the water). They seemed to be rushing through my service, and they did my manicure at the same time as the pedicure... Which is not relaxing. I got clear polish on my nails, which started peeling later the same day I had it done.... And the polish on my toes doesn't look like it was applied evenly. Not worth $43. Overall I was disappointed with my recent service.

I have been getting my gel nails done every couple weeks at various places for almost a year. Star nails by far had the worst service.
They were nice enough when I was getting them done, but later that day I noticed that my shellac polish had bubbles in it on every nail. I called them to ask if I could come get this fixed. As soon as I asked, the tone on the phone changed. When I went in today to have them fixed, the lady looked at them and told me I was just looking too closely at my nails. If I am paying for a service, it would be ideal to be able to look at them without noticing flaws.

This review is not about the quality of the service but the interaction with staff. I was unaware that you have to specify regular polish or shellac upon booking an appointment. When we arrived, the manicurist asked us to choose a colour. When I asked for shellac the woman responded with a very harsh response. When we addressed the issue later, she brought other customers into the discussion. Very unprofessional! Of course, I was agitated and defensive. I went here a while ago and while my nails looked fine, the experience became extremely uncomfortable when the nail tech cut the skin on my toe and it started to bleed. There was no apology and the rest of my experience wasn't good. As soon as I got home I disinfect it but I was worried about infection after that.

Nails look great, although a few rough edges. They heat your hands up when you come in from the cold. The staff are lovely, although I feel like the other complaints about them here are because they seem stressed out by the owner. The owner herself is very rude. She sits on a pedicure chair the whole time watching everyone like her test subjects. I felt it was awkward. A few other people came in and I was moved to another seat to accommodate. I personally do not have a problem, but if you have mobility issues, this might be an issue for you. I was also drying my hands and the owner came up, grabbed them and started showing me how to "properly" do it. Overall, if you're looking for quick, cheap nails, this is the place to go.

Excellent service and always do a good job on my nails. Should call to book an appointment because they are really busy cuz they're that good. Some of the customers they have to deal with are unbelievable rude and disrespectful. Feel sorry for them, they are hard working people and they have to deal with those customers.

This used to be my favorite nail place, but unfortunately recently the prices have gone up... While the level of service and quality has gone down.
