Nice atmosphere, staff very hospitable. Coffee and chocolate offered! Gel nails shaped beautifully, however, they keep splitting on the sides and get caught ending up ripped off. This did happen while I was cleaning the house. Never had this problem when done by other nail salons. Inferior products? I'm also concerned they use a dremel tool to take the shellac off without utilizing soak remover and wrapping foil around fingers to soften the product. The natural nail bed is getting thinned. The staff was friendly and managed to fit me in as a last minute walk in. The nails are nice, and they kept me in the loop on costs as we went. Rip off! Three of us had Shellac nail service and all chipped off within a few days. Shellac is $50. We called and asked Lan for our money back and she outright refused. Very rude to us as well. Was told to be there for seven, was seated in the nail chair then kicked out of the chair, then by seven thirty they say to sit somewhere else. It's sad cuz this is the only place I went to!, but for the high price an atmosphere you should be more professional!. My daughter and I have had pedicures here twice. The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly. I agree with other reviewers' comments that you get a spa quality experience (complete with high-end teas and a silver platter of chocolate) for a very reasonable price. Why go anywhere else? Their Opi, Essie and Vinylux polishes are long wearing too. My daughter is a Fort Henry Guard and her polish withstood her marching up and down in army boots all day without chipping at all! I have been getting gel nails for over 20 years. I get a long, oval shape that takes special skill. I have lived in Kingston for 5 and a half years, and I I tried out many of the local nail salons before being referred to Lan Nail & Spa by a friend. I was taken aback by the level of skill my nail tech has. They are, easily neck in neck, if not surpassing the very best nails I have ever had done. What makes this nail Spa really stand out is that it is not your typical nail salon. It is a relaxing spa atmosphere in a spacious and beautifully decorated space. Top notch pedicure chairs, relaxing music, and an offer of tea, soda or other beverages, not to mention treats for those who want them. I was referred here from my hair salon, and what a great referral! As soon as I walked in I was greeted, my nail technician was friendly and easily started conversation with me. It was easy to see that not only did she enjoy her work, but she was detailed and skilled. It has been 3 weeks and my shellac nails are still almost perfect (simply a bit grown out now)! Very friendly and great customer service. They offered us coffee, tea or water when we got there and then half way through our pedicures they come around and offered us a chocolate bar. Always made sure we were comfortable and gave a great pedicure!! The nail art is different then what I've ever had. Highly recommend this place! Read Less
